Adventures in Play: an evening of play, movement & authentic relating

In a world that often feels like it's unravelling—where grief, fear, and burnout can be constant companions—making space for joy, silliness, and smiles is not frivolous; it's necessary.​

Join us for an evening of play, movement, laughter, and authentic connection—a playful rebellion against despair. This is a space to breathe, to giggle, to move, and to be human together. We'll weave in authentic relating games to centre connection, presence, and really seeing each other.​

Come as you are—no performance needed—just you and your beautiful, messy, courageous self!​

A series of Games Nights

We'll be running a series of events over three months in the autumn:

• Wednesday, September 17th, 6pm - 9pm
• Wednesday, October 15th, 6pm - 9pm
• Wednesday, November 19th, 6pm - 9pm

Book all of them upfront (for a discounted rate) or just come along to any of the sessions that you can make. 
 

Is this for you?

We will be gathering together as a community to create a brave space, with the intention of supporting each other to find the courage they need to be exactly as they are. Although we intend to hold the space with the spirit of play, curiosity and lightness, the exploration of our inner worlds and that which we keep more guarded in day to day interactions has the potential to feel challenging to some. Because of this, these sessions may not be suitable for those navigating significant or unaddressed emotional or psychological wounds. If you’re unsure about your readiness, please feel free to reach out before booking your place. 
 

Venue and arrival time

We'll be hanging out in the gorgeous Moor Imagination Collective in Buckfastleigh. More information on how to find this venue will be shared upon booking. 

Please arrive 5-10mins early so we can start on time. Any significantly late arrivals may not be admitted due to the importance of setting group context before heading into the play. 
 

Cancellations

If you need to cancel your seat at the Games Night more than 72 hours prior to the start time, a full refund will be issued. 
If you need to cancel your seat at the Games Night within 72 hours of the start time:

• we can transfer your ticket to a future session, if applicable.
• if we can issue a refund (minus any applicable fees imposed by the payment processor) if we're able to find someone to fill your seat

No refunds can be issued for the 3-in-1 ticket within 72 hours of the first session. 

If we need to cancel an evening for any reason, a full refund will be given. For anyone with a 3-in-1 ticket, a third of the total price will be refunded for any sessions cancelled. 
 

Facilitators

Claire Dennis | Claire has been immersed in Authentic Relating for the last 5 years, experiencing its transformative ripple across her personal life, professional world, and creative pursuits. This practice has deeply influenced her creative expression - spoken word, event curation, and her exploration of clowning and improv.

Hebe Dickins | Hebe’s background is in Acting. She moved on to become a yoga teacher and spent time running yoga retreats and looking after ‘wellness’ for businesses. She now has a somatic therapy and coaching practice; co-facilitates creative leadership programmes, all over the world; and coaches business leaders to be authentic, confident presenters. Her raison d'etre is to help people connect to themselves and others; through embodiment, authentic performance and play.
