After a successful autumn workshop in November with 17 of us exploring ritual and play together - we're excited to announce a spring equinox workshop!
Ollie's been researching the world of clowning for the past few years and they have started to see synchronicities in the clown's work of playing and connecting with an audience.
They believe these insights can be applied to holding rituals together. They would like to create a space where we all have a chance to: realise how brilliant we are, understand our needs and have those needs met collectively.
Ollie's practice is constantly evolving and they aim to be as responsive to the group as possible. In doing so, we will aim to collectively create a container that is as brave as possible for curious happenings and ceremonies to arise!
What to expect from the workshop :
- Games and movement
- Connection with fellow humans
- The building of a ‘brave’ container for expression
- A playful approach to engaging in ritual and ceremony
- A retrospective space to ground and reflect
This workshop is a collaboration between Sheffield Laughter club and Daftelation and will be co - facilitated by Ollie Yates and Holly Jager.

About Holly -
By day, Holly is a primary school teacher in Sheffield who found joy through attending Sheffield Laughter Club. She is passionate about allowing children to be their authentic selves and is becoming increasingly interested in encouraging adults to do the same. Holly spends her summers working at an outdoor music camp and organises her team, the campsite and enriching activities for the children to enjoy in the afternoons.
Holly loves working with children but is now wanting to expand her skill set and enhance her facilitation skills when it comes to working with adults. She has started doing this through co-facilitating Sheffield Laughter Club and is now ready for her next challenge!
