This course will run weekly on Thursdays in May, including 01/05, 08/05, 15/05 and 22/05.

This course is perfect for anyone who wants to dive deeper into portrait painting with oils. Over four 2-hour sessions, we’ll dive into the theory and techniques for sketching on canvas, how to use oils, creating underpaintings, and principles of colour theory and mixing colour. Finally, you will create your own portrait on canvas, while I guide you step by step.

With this course, you will learn all the necessary techniques to create your own portraits.  Not only that, I will teach you how  to bring your portraits to life with rich, bold colour, and infuse them with your own unique style.

All materials are included.

About me:

I am a figurative painter, exploring the human psyche and emotions through portraits. My work is an introspective journey, shaped by my experiences and growth. Art has been my therapy, helping me evolve as a creative and as a human being.

For over a year, I have been sharing my passion for art through creative workshops, creating spaces where others can connect with themselves through their own creative expression. My hope is to inspire you to explore your own journey, experiment with new materials, and discover the transformative power of play and self-expression.

Portraits is what I do, and oil painting is my favourite media. I hope to teach you the specific techniques I use to create my pieces, while also allowing you to try other techniques that may work for you. This process will also invite you to find your own style and to follow your intuition.
