Matthew is the curator of Friday Night Dance in the Mycelium Space.
Through 2023 he has been DJing Portal Dance in Frome: an experimental dance space held with Nikhil Kirsh where one of Nikhil's portal paintings would be drawn like a tarot card at the beginning of the night to inform the dance.
Matthew has loved curating playlists ever since he was making mixtapes for the school coach to rugby matches in his teenage years.
He enjoys Djing as something of a mystical practice, where the DJ becomes a channel for life to move through in response to the dancers who show up.
He is also informed by many years of playing live guitar for Contact Improvisation jams, where the ongoing connection between musicians and dancers coninually inform one another throughout the jam.
