The Psychedelic Society are extremely excited to have Richard Lang returning for an online workshop. Richard is the world’s foremost proponent of Headless Way and was recently interviewed by Sam Harris on his podcast and now features as a teacher on the Waking Up meditation app.
"This is like studying Non-Dual meditation but without the pain in the but of long sitting meditation as many of the experiments are active and interactive. Well worth attending if there is another opportunity. Great workshop and well presented."
Headless Way is growing in popularity as an astonishingly simple way to notice fundamental truths about your experience, which for some people can be both thrilling and liberating.
In a series of deceptively simple experiments and awareness exercises, you will have the chance to see for yourself what mystics throughout the ages have always pointed to.
CS Lewis called this approach “a work of the highest genius” and Sam Harris has mentioned it recently in both books and his podcast as a direct way of seeing ‘that makes perfect sense to me.”
The experiments were developed by the philosopher Douglas Harding, who wrote: “Though in essence the same as Zen, Sufism, and other spiritual disciplines, this way proceeds in an unusually down-to-earth fashion.” Headless way claims you are more likely to see who you really are in a few minutes of experimentation than years of years of reading, meditation or traditional spiritual practise.
Instead of these, it uses a variety of simple, non-verbal, fact-finding tests, all of them asking: how do I look to myself?
This workshop is a fundraiser for The Shollond Trust, so that we can share more widely the headless way, this brilliant way of communicating about our true nature :-)

I just want to say a massive thank you to Jess and Danny, for the beautifully facilitated event. Both facilitators put heart and soul into their work and ensure that the sharing circle experience is safe, warm, inclusive, welcoming, and full of awe and wonder! A job, well done!

Attending this sharing circle was a powerful experience for me. I got a lot of insights from what others shared and also from the discussions we had during the event and afterwards at the pub. It felt so nourishing to connect with people who find this subject as meaningful as I do. Since the event I’ve noticed feeling quite different to how I was in the days preceding - like an unfolding sense of peace and love. It might not be down to the circle 100% but I do think it has had a significant impact on me. I plan to go back to the circle as often as I can. Thanks to Jess and Danny for facilitating and to everyone else who shared their thoughts and experiences.

Led by lovely Jessica this was well held, big variety of people present but all kind and friendly. Space to share in pretty much equal time slots which I like a lot having been in/led peer groups a lot myself!
