ECSTATIC DANCE & SOUND JOURNEY
W/ LEVI BANNER & NIKKI KENT
Saturday 31st May
18:00 - 22:00
St Columba’s by the Castle, Edinburgh
Ecstatic Dance
Ecstatic Dance is a sacred space for connection - to yourself, others and the world around you. Ecstatic Dance is a community gathering for people who want to express themselves freely, to connect and to expand together. Enjoy a safe and inspiring space to dance without talking, alcohol and drugs.
This is about self expression, freeing your mind and body, and connecting with yourself and those around you. No booze, no shoes and no chit-chat on the dance floor helps us keep it intentional. Amazing music helps us keep it all about dance.
Ecstatic Dance is a world wide movement that reclaims rave culture and reunites dance with ceremony and community ritual. We co-create a powerful space where everyone is welcome, respected and honored as their authentic selves. Whether you’re seeking healing, inspiration, or simply a deeper connection with yourself and others, this practice offers a powerful space to ground, open, and awaken to the aliveness within.
Freeform Movement
Freeform movement means you can move however you please ~ there’s no right or wrong way. The dance floor is a space for you to explore movement and be carried and moved by the music. It’s an opportunity to listen deeper to your body, flow with your emotions, connect with others without the need for words and get elevated from the movement and euphoric release. No matter what your dance experience is or how you are feeling ~ you are welcome just as you are.

Levi Banner
DJ, Shamanic Facilitator & Ceremony Leader
Levi is a pioneering force in the world of Shamanic Breathwork and a globally loved Ecstatic Dance DJ. He is a Level III Shamanic Breathwork Master Practitioner who received his training at VRU - the only Shamanic Psycho-Spiritual University in the world. He is an ordained Shamanic Minister and part of The Shamanic Ministers’ Global Network.
As a DJ, Levi is a sorcerer of sacred and sexy soundscapes — weaving tribal rhythms, deep bass, and shamanic textures into soul-stirring sets that awaken the body and spirit. A mystical magician of monstrous mashups, mantra mixes, and medicine music.
Historically a Hip Hop head, he housed, raved, and rocked breakbeats as a B-boy... Now elevated to executing ecstatic experiences everywhere, enlivening everyone with his eclectic electronic and live DJ exhibitions.
Originally from Oregon - now nomadically based in Bali and revered worldwide - Levi has guided thousands through powerful journeys of Ecstatic Dance and Shamanic Breathwork across more than 20 countries.
He’s headlined the world’s most iconic conscious festivals — Boom, Ozora, Envision, BaliSpirit, Shamballa and more — and played for 50+ Ecstatic Dance communities from Amsterdam to Mexico, California to Colombia. With a Master’s in Shamanic Intuitional Practices and over a decade on the international circuit, his sessions are not just dances — they’re initiations.

FONN Healing Sound Journey
Nikki Kent of FONN Healing is at the forefront of the Scottish sound healing community. Based in Edinburgh, she stands out for her innovative approach, weaving together sound and bodywork to create truly immersive healing experiences.
Blending over a decade in the music industry with her deep experience as a massage therapist, Nikki creates immersive sound journeys designed to soothe the nervous system and restore the soul. Trained by the British Academy of Sound Therapy, she incorporates Himalayan and Quartz crystal bowls, therapeutic percussion, and voice into a sonic landscape that invites deep rest and reconnection.
Rooted in a desire to integrate music, healing, and embodiment, Nikki’s offerings are heartfelt, earthy, and powerfully attuned to the body. Her work under the name FONN — a Gaelic word meaning both “of the land” and “melody” — speaks to her intention: to bring people back into harmony, with themselves and the world around them.
