Two days in person workshop covering various ways and aspects of working with gongs, types of gongs, traditional and modern applications, ritual uses, playing techniques, personal growth and healing, learning how to do 1:1 treatments, group work and practicalities.

If you are interested to explore and work with singing bowls, please join the singing bowls workshop on the weekend before: Singing Bowls Workshop

The workshop is limited to 4 people only.

Your tutor:

Kat Bumbul of Sound Mysterium, has 13 years experience in sound healing and will share her knowledge, skills and approach to the instruments and the subject of healing.

Kat began her musical journey with a classical music education, but it was in spring 2008 during her first psychedelic experience when she received a strong calling to work with sound. She went to several sound healing workshops to learn the basics, but her approach deepened simply from long practice, experiments and intuitive guidance. A big step forward in her sound healer's journey was meeting the famous Frank Perry, and later receiving powerful initiations by a few great masters into three old authentic traditions: Kashmiri Shaiva Tantra, Siberian Shamanism and Spiritual Taoism.

I had some weirdo nearby who kept on making strange noises and doing movements and kept moving into my space, so it was a bit strange and I couldn't really relax and drop into the experience. Venue was nice though.

It is difficult to find fault with this wonderful experience. My entire body is wracked with aching arthritis. Bathing it in the vibrations of the gongs is one of the few effective forms of relief I get. It might be conducive if, just before the gong bath begins, we could acknowledge our neighbours. Going alone can feel intimidating, especially when lots of people seem to know each other.

It was a lovely space and I felt very welcome by the host who took the trouble to smudge us all individually - unfortunately I did not have enough warm blankets so the evening was rather chilly!
