Evolving our consciousness; healing our separation

This October, our Monthly Members' PsySocial will host Natural Academy Co-Founder, Michéal Connors, for an exploration of how nature connectedness can offer shifts of consciousness.

Natural Academy is a not for profit community interest company, whose mission is to help people and nature recover and flourish together. They see people living connected in the natural world in urban, rural and wilder spaces. People living with regenerated wilder natural spaces around them, with an inherent care and support for themselves, their communities and the natural world, knowing that our health and wellbeing depends on the health and wellbeing of the living world and the ecosystems around us.

With 14 years’ experience as a not for profit Eco-Social Enterprise, Natural Academy has developed ways to train, educate and support the new nature & health and ecotherapy movement. We do this by developing and supporting a community of professional practitioners who are actively working in applied ecopsychology & nature based practice.

Together we will explore:

• Experiences with connectedness and immersion in nature that shift consciousness
• Integration of plant psychedelic experiences through immersion and connectedness in nature
• Deepening and expanding consciousness of our Natural Self in service to the intra-connectedness of all things and the healing of separation personally, socially and ecologically

Location: 14 Bedford Square

We will be moving from our usual Love Shack location for this event to 14 Bedford Square, WC1B 3JA, a beautiful Georgian townhouse in the heart of central London and the current home of our friends at &Soul. The venue sells drinks and we will provide light snacks but feel free to also bring food if you wish to eat as there are no vendors on site. You will have time after the event to socialise freely and continue conversations with the people you've met during the evening.

Guest Speaker

Michéal Connor

Michéal is an eco-psychologist, mountain leader and holistic health and wellbeing professional. He is a qualified psychotherapist, supervisor and lecturer. He has a specialist interest in nature-based approaches to holistic cancer care and mental health. For over 25 years Michéal has been advocating and developing nature based and holistic approaches to mental and physical health.

Michéal and Co-Founder, Rhonda, set up Natural Academy as the first dedicated ecopsychology, educational institution in Europe. The roots stretch back to 2008 when they created a vision of a pathway for individuals to grow a career in working with people in nature for health, healing and deeper purpose.

Within this vision is also the purpose to meet people wherever they are and to influence already existing organisations to bring nature into the heart of their work. This spawned NatureWell and they are now working with a broad range of partners in the NHS, larger national environmental organisations, Green Social Prescribing Networks and smaller social enterprises and charities in health, growing and rewilding.  If you are wanting to find out more please contact the team.

ACCESS:  We do our best to include everyone in our events, regardless of health circumstances. If you have access requirements please email the event organiser directly to discuss. Many facilitators are able to offer reduced ticket prices for those truly unable to afford the ticket price.
