Squash your fears of cooking with squash!

Workshop: Thai Butternut Squash Curry
Date: Wednesday, 30 October 2024
Time: 6:00 - 7:30 PM
Location: Reimagine Co (206 Piccadilly St, London ON)

Join us for another in-person, hands-on workshop with  Grow Cook Learn! This time, we're transforming an affordable fall favourite - squash - into a warm and hearty Thai-inspired butternut squash curry!

Though squash is abundant during this season, many folks shy away from it. During this workshop, Grow Cook Learn will show you how to safely and easily peel, chop, and cook squash, helping to get you comfortable with this versatile vegetable! You'll also create a delicious curry to eat on the spot or take home!

Learn how to:

  • Master basic squash preparation and cutting techniques
  • Dice an onion without waste (or tears!)
  • Cook a delicious Thai-inspired curry using seasonal ingredients

What you'll need:

  • Enthusiasm to learn and cook (and eat!)
  • Your own container(s) to take home any prepared meals or ingredients

This event is free to attend. Please RSVP to let us know how many people to expect, and please cancel your reservation if you are no longer able to come (so that we can offer your spot to someone else). Reimagine Co is a fully accessible venue, and we welcome participants of all abilities, ages and backgrounds. This is a family-friendly workshop!

This workshop is hosted by Grow Cook Learn, a project of the London Community Resource Centre. Their mission is to build community through food security and education (literacy) in order to break down barriers and promote complete health and wellbeing.
