Awaken the Dragon retreat invites you to be activated and recharged by the wild energies of the dragons of Dartmoor. It is said that a dragon resides in the vale of the upper Walkham river, between Great Mis Tor and Roos Tor.

We will open the connection to this powerful and magical spirit animal - through dance, shamanic drum journeys, and a pilgrimage on Dartmoor. We will explore what it is to us to awaken our own inner dragon. Tend to our own flame. Reconnect to the parts of us that lie dormant or unexplored. Stoke the embers to allow for whatever needs to come through for us, deep frequency or high octane. We each have our own unique path.

Our core practices for Awakening the Dragon are Dance, Dreamwork, and Shamanic journeying, with Cacao.

Dance doesn’t have to have steps. Your body knows what it needs. Breath, music and movement are the portals we step through to the truth of who we are.

Dreamwork & shamanic journeying takes many forms. Essentially it is trance work, tapping into universal knowledge we all have access to. Riding the drumbeat like a horse, we travel to places beyond the understanding of the conscious mind.

Ritual is at the heart of our practices. Coming together with gratitude and reverence elevates and connects us.
