We will be welcoming back the Yawanawa tribe from the Amazon forest offering their prayers, songs and sacred medicine of Hape. You will have a chance to meet this medicine with honour & respect these medicines deserves.
This special evening will begin with a powerful Cacao Ceremony around a beautiful candle-lit altar, led by experienced Cacao Ceremonialist Deb Nicholls of Cacao Divinity @deb.empoweringcircle
Followed by storytelling and sacred Hape Circle led by Lua in support of his father - Casique Masharua sharing their ancestral wisdom.
Hape is sacred tobacco snuff used as a ceremonial medicine as a part of Yawanawa culture. It is a mixture of 100% mapacho tobacco and Tsunu (ashes of a special tree in the Amazon jungle). Hape is traditionally served through Tepi or Kuripi (self-serve).
They are usually made from bamboo or animal bone. It is an extremely powerful medicine for cleansing, connection to the spirit realm, and purification of our energetic body. It may have a purgatory effect, this is part of the cleaning and realignment of energies in our body.

Luan Yawanawa is 3rd son of Cacique Roque, chef of the village Yawarani. He has been studying medicine of the forest, Yawanawa culture & spirituality for past 15 years.
