Let's get back to being humans together.

At Connection Jam, we make space for genuine conversation, playful communication, and real appreciation.

Through a series of facilitated interactions designed to foster instant connection and authentic sharing, you will be encouraged to drop in deeper than the usual patterns of small talk and surface level chat to reveal your more-true self - and be welcomed, exactly as you are.

At Connection Jam, we don’t prescribe what sort of relationships you might create. Friends? Lovers? Bandmates? Business partners? A new running / cinema / boardgame / crochet buddy? It’s all possible! The question is: what sort of connection do you want to make?

This is a safe(r) and brave space that is open to all, regardless of gender, sexuality, relationship status, etc etc. Everything is optional, and you will be empowered in your choice to take part!

What to expect

  • Opening and closing circles
  • Actually good icebreakers
  • Authentic relating games
  • A yummy selection of teas
  • …and biscuits (obviously!)

What to bring

  • ID / confirmation of your ticket (no need to print)
  • Bottle of water
  • Mug
  • An open heart

PLEASE NOTE: The space can get quite noisy at times during the evening due to the nature of the games and exercises with everyone talking at the same time and the hall being quite echoey. We empower you to always be in choice throughout the evening, so you can step out of any game at any time. If you know you prefer not to be in noisy spaces or might get overwhelmed by a loud environment, Connection Jam might not be your jam - please do what you need to do to honour your own needs and boundaries!

Here, guidelines and confidentiality is shared - and so you will not be admitted after this. Please arrive in good time for the start of the Connection Jam.

Afterwards, a few of us like to go to a nearby pub (The Crescent) to continue getting to know each other.

Photography

Usually, photography at the event is not a thing as we want you to be present. However, we may have have a photographer in the space to take photos for promotional purposes. There will be a clear opportunity to opt out of photos!

Location

The entrance to the Community Hall for St Michael's church is on St Michael's Place. See photo below!
