CI Technique Workshop with Richard Sarco-Thomas

2 day deep dive into the fundamental technique and principles required for dynamic contact improvisation exchanges. 

We will also study some of the body/mind preparation/maintenance practices and practical injury prevention principles necessary to continue to dance our full range of possibilities well into old age.

We will work with information from various movement practices including but not limited to contact improvisation, Japanese and Brazilian martial arts, shiatsu, constructive rest practices, strength and conditioning drills.

If you want to nurture a resilient, curious, creative, and listening body wherever you are on your CI journey this is the weekend for you.

Bring your playful, mindful body, there will be plenty of somatic and restful periods during the weekend but be prepared to grind and sweat.

There will be space given for dialogue so bring your questions.
