Come breathe into this expansive light filled time of year.
The Summer Solstice marks the Summer's height - Midsummer - the longest day and shortest night. This festival creates the opportunity to look back at our journeys since the Winter Solstice; to celebrate our achievements, count our blessings, and reflect on the lessons learnt and experience gained.
This is the time to connect to our expansive, expressive, creative selves, and connecting with the breath in this way can be a great way to embody this.
Being in this most active Midsummer time of year with all of life thriving around us can be both beautiful and busy, sometimes overwhelming. Creating space to bring your awareness to your breath can help ground and connect amidst the busyness of Summer, nourishing your mind, body and soul.
This conscious connected breathwork practice offers you the opportunity to:
- process emotions and integrate your lived experiences
- gain clarity and insights ready for the months ahead
- move forward feeling more connected and grounded in your body
- release feelings of stress and anxiety
- regulate your nervous system, helping with relaxation and better sleep, supporting you through these long Summer days
- connect to the calm and peace within you
- nourish yourself amidst what can be a busy time of year
Connect to this Midsummer energy to support your actions for positive change for yourself, your community and the wider world.
You may simply want to come with an open intention of meeting whatever arises for you with your breath as your guide, and this is really welcome too!

The Celtic calendar/Wheel of the Year has eight festivals throughout the year with the solstices, equinoxes and cross-quarters. Michelle’s intention is to hold a seasonal breathwork ceremony for each festival, offering you the opportunity to connect to and honour both the wider and your own personal seasonal shifts throughout the year. Connecting to the wheel of the year can be a helpful way of making meaning; noticing, anchoring and grounding through the cycles and seasons of our wider body of nature and our interconnectedness.

A bit more about Conscious Connected Breathwork (CCB)
This form of breathwork is a powerful and dynamic practice of circular breathing - meaning breathing continuously without pausing - usually done with an open mouth and lying down with eyes closed to music. Equally this practice can be nose breathing and being seated is also possible. CCB can provide the opportunity for releasing stress, integrating trauma and/or old patterns, gaining clarity and insights, relaxation, regulating your nervous system, connecting to your heart and higher self, and a variety of other possible experiences. Many experience a deep sense of calm and peace, becoming more open to joy and even bliss.
Breathwork can significantly support the development of your relationship with your emotional body and nervous system, creating space for the body to process emotions you may be carrying.
This practice is not about seeking a cathartic experience or pushing to reach an altered state, that might happen but it’s not the goal here. The invitation will be to go gently, with your breath as your guide.
Breath is the bridge which connects life to consciousness. Thich Nhat Hanh

A bit about your facilitator
