Let’s talk about s*x baby!

Sexual Health Awareness Day - an intimate dive into boundaries, consent, and desire through the lens of sexual health.

Hello Temple Goers!

I’ll be honest, when Shanti asked me to offer this day, it took me some time to warm up to it.  At first I was imagining a day of boring slides and facts with flashbacks of my terrible sex ed class from high school, which felt far from how I wanted to spend my time.

And then I realized what a juicy day this actually can be, as s*xual health is a topic that can bring up some of our deepest shame and fears, as well as hidden desires - fertile soil for some deep intimacy - which is a hell yes for me.

So, if you are looking for a dry day of statistics - don’t come to this event!

But, if you want to have an intimate day with others, learning to create safety to explore all your deepest sexual desires, then you’re going to want to be there.  This will be embodied learning, using a template for a safer sex talk to guide our day.  We’ll spend time in solo practices to get clear on our own wants and needs, as well as partnered exercises to practice communicating with another.  And most importantly, when the emotions get thick in the room we’re going to welcome them, feel them and move with them.

You’ll be sent home with plenty of resources on sexual health, and we’ll lay the foundation for a new temple season with greater clarity, consent, and intimacy.

We’ll start at 10am, but the room will open from 9.30am if you want to come early, get settled and greet one another before we begin. There’ll be a  lunch break at about 1pm,  Hot drinks and biccies will be provided throughout the day. We’ll wrap up the day at 5.30pm.

About Emily:

Emily moves as if the universe has whispered its secrets to her and she has listened. A woman whose every step is a return to the wild, ancient rhythms of the earth. She knows that wisdom is not held in the mind but is felt in the deep, soft places of the heart, the pulse of the body, the shimmer of the soul.
Her laughter is a song that calls you back to a joy you have long forgotten, a joy that rises from the earth itself. She creates beauty wherever she goes - an artist, an alchemist, a muse who calls you to remember the divine that dwells within you.
She has trained extensively with Kasia Urbaniak, ISTA, Betty Martin and the Wheel of Consent, in embodiment, breathwork, yoga, and somatics.  You can find out more about her here: https://www.the-empress.life/
