Joseph Henrich is professor of human evolutionary biology at Harvard
University. His recent book ‘The Weirdest People in the World: How the
West Became Psychologically Peculiar and Particularly Prosperous’ is a
revolutionary look into the psychology and evolution of WEIRD cultures
(Western, Educated, Industrialised, Rich, Democratic). In this talk
we’ll explore why the WEIRD model is so important for understanding the
shifts we’re seeing in culture, institutional trust and the meaning
crisis.
