Most of us have been taught to fear our anger. We’ve been conditioned to believe it’s a dangerous emotion, so we hide it. We shrink ourselves, silence our voices, and bury our rage deep inside. If we dare to show it, we’re shamed for being “too much,” and when we can’t suppress ourselves any longer, it erupts and makes us feel unworthy, unlovable, and out of control.

But here’s the truth: your anger is not your enemy. It’s an emotion that contains your  passion, your courage, your fire, and your wildness— the gift of aliveness that comes from embodying your pain, grief, joy, hope and wonder.

Your anger is SACRED and it’s a source of profound personal power.

The emotion of anger plays a significant role in your life. Anger is your inner compass, a signal that something within you—your boundaries, your values, your morals and the integrity of your truth—has been crossed.

When you learn to safely feel, listen to, and honour your sacred rage, it transforms into a powerful portal of clarity, wisdom, strength, creativity and liberation.

About the day retreat:

This one-of-a-kind retreat is a sanctuary for womxn, femmes and gender non-conforming individuals who are ready to re-align their relationship with anger. Together, we’ll dive deep into the heart of this often misunderstood emotion, exploring its energy through movement, creativity, and connection. You’ll be held in a circle of sisters, and supported every step of the way as you rediscover your wild within.

The retreat will be held at a beautiful, private venue, offering a peaceful and deeply containing setting for the day. From 10am to 5pm, you'll be immersed in transformative experiences, and also get to enjoy a delicious plant-based (vegan) lunch, lovingly prepared by our Natural Chef, Nataliya. Snacks and teas will also be provided.

We’re happy to accommodate any dietary needs—just let us know in advance. Detailed information about the programme will be shared with participants a few weeks before the event to ensure you're fully prepared for this tenderly wild and spirit strengthening  day.

The backstory - ‘SEIEIN: Love Your Rage’ short film

We believe that a new narrative about women and anger is needed. This is why we recently made a movement-based short film about anger & women (click here to learn more or here to watch the full 17-minute long film) which won an award at Cannes Film Festival last year.

Through a compelling docu-fictional narrative, SEIEIN: Love Your Rage delves into the societal pressures that often lead women-identifying individuals to suppress their anger, as well as into the transformative power that arises from embracing the complex and diverse colours of our emotions.

The film unfolds in two realms: The collective unconscious where anger’s different facets and stages are expressed through raw embodied movement and dance; and a speculative present re-imagining what ‘tending’ for anger could look like as a conscious cultural practice.

Besides the transformative potential of embracing anger, the larger project aims to touch upon the complexities of the theme. For instance, the tension between the use of compassion to let go of anger, and the necessity to channel the same energy to fight for justice.

We aim for the work to act as a catalyst for inspiring dialogue, reflection and action around our personal and collective relationships with anger, in its most nuanced and mindful understanding. The Love Your Rage team has organically grown from this seed and aims to empower women to reconnect with their sacred fire on the journey towards emotional liberation.
