It's the Chinese year of the Snake, an animal that represents wisdom, intuition and transformation.

Phoebe and Ivy want to take you on a journey of exploring breathwork, yoga and ritualised burlesque to welcome in change, and shed what no longer serves you.

Key themesSensualityembodiment, welcoming the shadowsshedding shame and what no longer serves you.

Who is this workshop for?

Beginners and people with a dance background

- If you're looking for a place to express and feel connected

- If you're looking for new ways to use burlesque other then a performance artform.

Part 1

MadStillNess is a series of immersive, multi-sensory meditative workshops rooted in neuroscience and Jungian archetypal theory. We draw on Tantric practices — breathwork, yoga, and somatic dance — to explore the wild edges of our inner “madness,” and discover the stillness that lives beyond.

Yoga & Breath:

We’ll start by dropping in with pranayama breathwork like Nadi Sholden (alternative nostril breath) and Kapala Bahti (breath of fire) to calm the mind before settling into the body.

Then, we’ll flow into a fluid yoga flow balancing strong warrior poses to soft, fluid somtatic movement.

We awaken the senses as portals into the body:

- Sent: tingling the senses with musky rose + resinous incense.

- Sight: a smokey setting with soft and sensual lighting bathed in chakra colours — dusky purple to open the third eye, peachy orange to awaken the sacral, and deep crimson to ground and hold us through the dance.

- Taste: a delectable chocolate and succulent berries to open the heart and flood the body with oxytocin and sensual intention

- Sound: a carefully curated set, moving from afrobeats and dub (to shake off the day) into something a little slow, sensual and soulful to guide deeper embodiment.

- Touch: adorning your body with whatever makes you feel sexy and embodied; a silky dress, lace lingerie or soft yoga wear.

Part 2

Ivy from Everglowing will be bringing some raw, ritualistic and inspiring choreography that will channel power, self-love, and untamable energy. She will guide you as a group to tell a story, shake off the cobwebs and move through emotions.

We will be dancing to Gajumaru by Yaima using floorwork, bold postures and gestures, contrasting tempos, dynamics and flow.

What to wear - Comfortable clothing

- Leggings, shorts, comfy trousers

- Kneepads - lots of floorwork

Bring a yoga matt

Who are your teachers?

My name’s Phöebe — I’m a queer, neurospicy, trauma-informed psychologist, yoga teacher, model, and multidisciplinary artist exploring healing through movement, myth, sensuality, and embodied expression. With an MSc in Psychology and over a decade of experience supporting vulnerable communities across global NGOs, I weave together neuroscience, Jungian archetypes, and Tantric practice to guide emotional release and reconnection to the body.

Ivy is a burlesque teacher with over 5 years of experience choreographing and teaching. She focuses on creating a warm, welcoming environment where students can connect with their bodies and explore movement in a safe, expressive way. Her classes blend musicality, dynamics, and tempo changes to channel the energy of the music. Exploration and variation is at the heart of any class.
