Cha Dao ceremony makes you peacefully contemplate reality, cultivate mind, experience bitter and sweet, enjoy tranquil esthetics and simplicity. It is a beautiful break from a busy life, a gateway to artistic realm of purity and perception of the spirit of Tao and Zen.
Come to peacefully appreciate pu-erh, heicha or oolong tea. Dive into sublime dimensions of your consciousness, its ephemeral presence and a heightened perception of reality and yourself.
After tapping into the subtle space of connection with tea, a guided meditation and shamanic drumming will take us into a deeper journey within.

Three of us attended the ceremony last night. It was a great experience, very unusual event in a very unusual and wonderful setting. It was really thoughtfully curated and beautifuly delivered. I would say wrap up warm, even though it was warm outside it was chilly in the belltower!

A beautiful experience that builds wonderfully through the evening. It was wonderful to go at this time of year, feeling the setting sun throughout the ritual.

Very highly recommended. Much more than 'just' a tea ceremony, Kat has created a wonderful ceremony that really makes use of this incredible setting. St. Augustine's Tower is Hackney's oldest building, the left over tower of a demolished C13 church. The ceremony takes place over all the levels of building. The slow ticking of the tower's clock and the very narrow spiral stone staircase both play a role that complements and enhances the ceremony. Tea ceremonies invite you to be aware of your surroundings and the present moment. This is such a perfect place to do that.
