You are warmly invited to join us for this half-day experiential online gathering for the release of grief, the balm of being witnessed, and the healing of hearing others in their deep truth.
What To Expect
We will move through each stage of the grief tending journey in this spacious session which has been adapted for an online setting. The session will also include an introduction to the broad spectrum of loss, inspired by the 'gates of grief' map offered by Francis Weller, exploring collective grief (ecological, generational etc.) as well as personal losses such as bereavement and life transitions.
We have been hosting grief tending spaces online for a number of years, and have found that even with the challenges of distance and technology we can create a profound, welcoming space for the release of grief.
Who Is It For?
This session is suitable for both seasoned grief tenders, and those who are new to grief tending in community. Join us from the comfort of your own home from anywhere in the world.
Gifting Approach - Pay What You Can
All our events are offered on a gift basis, which means there’s no financial barrier to participation. This is a bit different to simply inviting donations. We’re asking you to feel into a contribution that feels right for you.
When you register, you'll need to pay a ‘placeholder deposit’ of £20, which is a token of commitment to reserve your place (if this is a problem for you please be in touch). We will then invite further contributions after the workshop. We will send you further guidance about this.
One of the factors we ask you to take into account is how much you might pay elsewhere for something similar. For this event, this is likely in the region of £60, so please bear this in mind. It's OK though if it's less or more. Your placeholder deposit is, in principle, refundable after the workshop, in full or in part, if your chosen gift is less.
This workshop is subsidised by Big Lottery funding. Your gift will ensure that we can continue offering sessions to everyone who needs them, regardless of their financial circumstances.
Norfolk Grief Tending is a non-profit community organisation that helps adults who are struggling with grief to find hope, healing and peace.
Our events are held by experienced facilitators, working with tried and tested trauma-informed practices. They are available on a gift basis, which means pay what you can.
