- In just six circular industrial sectors in Canada, a 2019 report found that 371,000-379,000 jobs were created while 1.6 million tonnes of CO2-equivalent emissions were avoided annually
- In Canada, the venue retention processing market (VRP; i.e. reuse, repair, refurbishment) of six circular industrial sectors generated approximately $56 billion in 2019
- It is estimated that a global circular economy scenario will create a net total of seven or eight million new jobs by 2030
- Moving toward a more circular economy for plastics in Canada could generate billions of dollars in revenue and create approximately 42,000 jobs by 2030
