Can a circular economy save you money, create new jobs, support your mental health, and more? Yes, it can! Let's chat.

Some facts and statistics from the Circular Economy Month website to get your brain ticking…

  • In just six circular industrial sectors in Canada, a 2019 report found that 371,000-379,000 jobs were created while 1.6 million tonnes of CO2-equivalent emissions were avoided annually
  • In Canada, the venue retention processing market (VRP; i.e. reuse, repair, refurbishment) of six circular industrial sectors generated approximately $56 billion in 2019
  • It is estimated that a global circular economy scenario will create a net total of seven or eight million new jobs by 2030
  • Moving toward a more circular economy for plastics in Canada could generate billions of dollars in revenue and create approximately 42,000 jobs by 2030
