FACILITATORS

Tomas Peeters

Tomas Peeters was born in Belgium in the 1960s. From an early age, he felt the world as tumultuous and overwhelming. As a young boy, he began building physical structures—portals, of sorts—in a quest to locate the unmoving center of this chaotic world.

Driven by this lifelong inquiry, Tomas earned a Master’s of Fine Arts in 2003 and founded Lumina Pura, his art and research studio in Los Angeles. There, with the help of a small and devoted team, he continues to develop his life’s work: The Zero-Distance Observatories.

As an artist—explorer, he creates these meticulously calibrated Observatories in order to see how this apparently turbulent world is nothing other than his unmoving center! Tomas invites others to step inside his installations to see that unfiltered reality has no center. After gazing into the Observatories, the world will never look the same!

Jennifer Santos

After stumbling upon an Angelo Dilullo video on “waking up,” Jennifer decided to attend her first silent retreat with him in the Winter of 2023. There, she had her initial encounters with the Observatories, and experienced her first taste of unfiltered reality.

Jennifer had no prior experience of non-duality. She stepped into the Observatories with much fear and uncertainty, and she emerged blown wide-open. Her perception of conventional reality was shattered. She knew she wanted to continue this investigation of what she is at zero distance, and wished to share it with others.

Over the next year, Jennifer and Tomas bonded through their exploration of the ‘Headless Way’ as a means to help clarify her newly discovered insights. She joined Tomas and Brian at the following year’s retreat, where her clear seeing continued to deepen. She describes her experience with the Observatories as “being plugged into the universe!”

Brian Chamowitz

After 25 or so years of unconscious suffering, Brian had the great fortune of encountering a therapist who introduced him to Buddhist meditation. This forever changed his life and set him on a path of seeking freedom from suffering.

After sitting and serving several vipassana retreats and while living and working as a long-term resident at a Buddhist monastery, Brian discovered non-dual teacher, Rupert Spira, who quickly guided him to re-cognize his True Nature. Brian’s spiritual explorations were also heavily influenced by Ajahn Sumedho and ‘Headless Way’ pioneer, Douglas Harding. Brian sums up his realization thusly: “I don’t know what I am, but I do know that I am."

Brian and Tomas hit it off upon first meeting at Angelo Dilullo’s 2023 Boone Retreat and have been close friends and collaborators ever since. They found an alchemic synergy together crafting investigative explorations into unfiltered reality. Brian loves to “activate headlessness” throughout the day, as it makes life more playful and less personal.
