Do you want to learn to communicate with plants?

Do you want to develop your intuition and your body awareness?

Do you want to challenge your human-centered view of the world?

Come to a sensory plant connection, open yourself up to the incredible world of plants and learn from what they have to teach us about ourselves.

Sensory plant connection combines herbalism, intuition, body listening, sensory exploration, somatic movement, plant magic and spirit. We create a sacred space where we focus on plants as guides, body awareness and non-verbal way of communicating.

Within a session you will be invited to listen and trust the intuitive abilities of your body through connecting to your senses and developing awareness of your body and how it is receiving a plant. I will guide you into a state of deep receptivity within your body so that you can better receive and connect and let the plant speak its message through your body. Depending on the plant we will be journeying with, we will use one or several of the following doorways such as smudging, sensory tea tasting, blindfolds, self-touch, consensual and simple bodywork, spontaneous free movement or drawing to connect with the plant. Each plant has a different energy so each meeting will have a different flavour.

For our first session, we will explore rose and touch.

Connecting to a plant in a group settings has the advantage to amplify and reinforce our individual experience giving us a wider understanding of what the plant has to offer.

All the plants I work with are non-psychedelic plants and are commonly used in herbal medicine. Some are native to the UK, all commonly grow on British land and our gardens. Journeying with common plants can be as insightful and profound as journeying with psychedelic plants with the advantage of being a more gentle process. It does require though a willingness and commitment to drop into our bodies and its sensations in order to tune to the plants’ level as it is a more subtle way of listening.

Tickets prices are on a sliding scale between £12-£30. If unsure, have a look at this sliding scale graphic to help you choose where you're at on the sliding scale.

Testimonials:

“Claire creates a space where you are free to move with utter trust, your body is the leader not your mind This allows me to rebalance myself and know where I AM NOW. Meeting a plant in movement allows me step out of the way and let the plant and my body talk.” Theo, gardener / herbalist

“Claire holds space clearly and simply, making it easy for me to get back in touch with my body and what it needs. She introduces plants and their energies in a accessible and sensory way, making their multi faceted teachings available to me individually and the group. I always find her sessions rebalancing, restorative and enlightening.” Hettie, coach / herbalist

“For me, the moving with plants workshops beautifully weave together practices of movement, body awareness and plant connection, with a sense of spiritual reverence for the earth and more than human beings. I have found that the sessions have supported the development of a creative relationship with plants, my body and the earth. Thank you for creating a space where deep listening, sensing and exploration can happen.” Fran, artist / plant friend

About the facilitator:

Claire is an insight herbalist who graduated from the School of Intuitive Herbalism in Stroud and offers mentoring as part of the School's online introduction course. She is also a movement artist and eco-somatic practitioner. Her movement art practice is strongly rooted in her relationship with non-human beings such as plants and the ecology of a space. She is the author of How to Be Feral: Movement Practices to Re-wild your Body, a philosophical movement book which challenges our human-centered perspective of the world and encourages us to think with our moving bodies and not just with our mind.

As well as running plant and movement workshops she also offers one-to-one plant meetings and one-to-one somatic movement coaching. For those who have never worked with me I'm currently offering 50% discount on the first three sessions. I'm also offering a free session to anyone who refers me a new client.
