Beltane Creative Day-Retreat

Join us in south-east London for a collaborative day of connection and crafts in a haven of wildlife surrounded by nature, as we welcome the beginning of Summer, also known as Beltane. This is the first year Plot 9's circular gathering space (The Dodeca-den) has been available in Spring, being such a new space. It's teaming with life as the plants establish themselves and encompass the space and the city slowly disappears from view.

The day retreat has been created and will be facilitated by Katie and Gemma with assistance from Andy (who created Plot 9).

We will begin with a gentle grounding  meditation, followed by natural crafts, a ceremonial fire ceremony and the possibility of a musical jam together.

At this potent time of year, it's a wonderful time to celebrate growth, colour, fire & creativity. The ticket price includes craft materials, vegan refreshments (including fresh mint & nettle tea) and snacks. A full list of what to bring with you will be sent upon booking. 💚

Katie is passionate about all things creative, community focused and playful. Over the last 10 years she has worked coordinating community projects and  mentoring young women across the youth and charity sector.  In 2021, she spent a year getting stuck into permaculture living in Costa Rica and was really inspired to bring a flavour of this lifestyle back home to London. You'd find Katie wiggling at ecstatic dances, 2 hours deep into a mandala drawing or hunting through charity shops for some second hand treasure.

Gemma is a mindful creative based in North London, where she blends her love for content creation with nature connection and community facilitation. For the last four years, she's been passionate about finding authentic and creative ways of self-expression. If you were to find her in the wild you might expect to see her lost in the world of Avatar The Last Airbender… crafting, practicing yoga, tree hugging or singing.

Andy is the creator of Plot 9 Maze Hill and lives next door and will be on hand  to make sure you enjoy the space as much as possible. If you want to know anything about the  garden itself or are interested in using the space then Andy will be delighted to talk to you. Andy spent 15 years as a co-founder and creative director of an immersive 3D technology business and is now pursuing his passion for building beautiful physical gathering spaces in nature. Plot 9 is his 20 x 10m canvas for building a living artwork of human and nature connection.
