Temple of Shibboleth Trio

A surrealist sisterhood who perform a daring musical ritual. Blending nu jazz, mythic prog and psych-folk.

Temple of Shibboleth Trio brings you deep, playful music for climate collapse — a soul-fed ritual of flute, sax, voice, and keys.

Think: jazz gig meets circus dreamscape.

Suitable for all ages

Doors at 7pm for  7.30pm start
Duration: 90 minutes approx (plus 20 minute interval)

This is deep music for climate collapse in a playful performance with circus influence that will have you dancing, thinking and singing along! Quirky, dreamy, adventurous, heartfelt and soul-fed connection for all our beginning, middle and endtimes.

Between them, they have played Ronnie Scotts, London Jazz Festival, The Jazz Cafe, King’s Place, Camden People’s Theatre, Teatro Rossini, Vortex Jazz Club and Halle Women in Jazz Festival. They have had their music played on Jazz FM and BBC 6 Music and have played live on air for BBC Radio 3 (Late Junction and In Tune) and BBC Radio 4.

Billie Bottle - voice, keyboards
Viv Goodwin-Darke - voice, flute, recorder
Roz Harding - alto sax, recorder, voice

“Spiritual, witty, dark, intriguing with an air of unbound exploratory creativity” - Backseat Mafia

“an experience like no other” - Cultr

The space opened up by the trio setting allows the musicians to breathe and give their considerable instrumental powers full expression. The breadth of styles the music encompass also came to the surface in loose arrangements, with jazz, Weimar cabaret, Debbusyesque impressionism, sunshine pop harmonies, Canterbury prog, experimental soundmaking and even church music integrated into a seamless, natural and singular whole. - Jez Winship
