Kindred Ground: An invitation to connect with self, community and nature. Nourish, Flow, Grow.

Join us for a series of offerings curated and shared to nurture connection to self and community. Expect breathwork, open fires, guided movement, voice activation, saunas, hikes and sounbaths in the coming months, all set in the seasonal beauty of nature.

We kick things off on July 19th with a lush offering of Conscious Connected Breathwork in the lush woodland of The Warren, followed by a potluck food and social gathering around the fire.

WHAT IS CONSCIOUS CONNECTED BREATHWORK?

Conscious Connected Breathwork is a transformative self-healing practice that supports physical, emotional, and spiritual wellness, helping you to:

  • Access and explore emotions that may be blocked, stuck or dormant.
  • Better manage anxiety and stress.
  • Prevent burnout
  • Develop self-awareness, acceptance and compassion.
  • Enhance focus and mental clarity.

My intention in sharing this life changing tool is to empower individuals with the awareness and skills to access breathwork regularly as a self practice as well as in a facilitated space.

These sessions are an invitation to soften, release and surrender deeply ingrained patterns of thought, behaviour and being that may have prevented stepping into our full potential.

I include optional acupressure body mapping in my work, to help release tension, stress and emotions that is held in the body, and to allow energy and emotions to flow more freely.

As the relationship with the breath deepens so too does the relationship with self, as you are guided to a place of self compassion, acceptance, forgiveness and love.

I have personal experience of breath work supporting my physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. This work has supported growth and self awareness. A regular practice allows me to be more present in the moment, and embrace challenges, opportunities, connection and joy with my feet on the ground and my heart and mind open.

It’s a privilege to share this work, and my goal is to create spaces, and support a society where people thrive rather than simply survive.

PREPARING FOR YOUR SESSION

To ensure comfort during the session, participants are advised to avoid eating for at least 2 hours beforehand. Stay well-hydrated, and drink plenty of water throughout the day beforehand.

I suggest you wear loose comfortable clothing with no tightness or restriction around the abdomen (eg. tight elastic, belts etc)

Please bring your own yoga mat if you have one, a blanket, a pillow or cushion and some water to drink. An eye mask is also good, but not essential.

HEALTH CONSIDERATIONS

While breathwork can benefit many individuals, there are certain conditions where caution or avoidance may be necessary. Please be aware that the following conditions are contraindicated for Conscious Connected Breathing:

  1. History of seizures or epilepsy
  2. First Trimester of Pregnancy, and when trying to conceive
  3. Detached retina or any eye condition which can be adversely affected by changes in internal pressure.
  4. Psychotic episodes.

By signing up for breathwork sessions, participants confirm they do not have any of the conditions mentioned above and release me from any liability related to your participation.

My clients safety and well-being are my top priorities and if there are any concerns or questions, please feel free to contact me in advance, or talk to me on the day.

ABOUT YOUR FACILITATOR

I'm a trained breathwork, yoga, mindfulness and wellbeing facilitator, and I’m currently training as a TRE/Somatic Release practitioner.

In my former life I was a Producer Director in media production, and a huge factor in my shift toward the world of wellbeing has been my younger sister’s long running struggle with substance use. This led me to working as a recovery worker, supporting people with alcohol and substance use issues. My passion was running groups and offering 1:1 structured support and coaching, and over a two and half year period I trained in level two Non-Violent Communication (NVC), motivational interviewing, Mental Health First Aid, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Through work, play, and my family and social landscape I have a rich experience of the pressures of a busy, challenging, competitive and dynamic life. My work is guided by tools I continue to use to help navigate my own mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.

My work explores a hybrid of cognitive and somatic work to find balance and flow in everyday life. I strive to create spaces and experiences that allow people to thrive rather than simply survive, and it’s an honour to be trusted to hold space for healing and growth, and to witness the shifts and transformations as people honour themselves and step into this work.

ABOUT THE WARREN

The Warren is a family run project run on the belief that when we are supported by the right environment and surroundings we are able to experience a greater sense of depth, connection and fulfillment within ourselves and with the people around us.

The land has been home to men’s and women’s circles, Spiritual and Holistsic retreats, Birth and Death ceremonies, music  and poetry events, and nature connection retreats.

Set in the heart of Somerset, the nurtured wildness of The Warren has a beautiful energy, and it’s a gift to be bringing breathwork and community to this magical space.
