The Journey

This is an invitation to Return of the Druid Rose - an 11 Day Devotional & Pilgrimage through the veils of the feminine mysteries, oracular wisdom and ecstatic trance - as we embark on an initiatic quest in a land rich in the living legends of the Mary’s and the Magdalen. 

In this edition of the Druid Rose, we pass through the gateways of the feminine heart ~ mirroring our outer journey with an inner pilgrimage through the layers of purification, anchor & compass.

Arriving in the misty valleys of Ariège, our journey is initiated by the crystalline waters and ancient stone, beginning our immersion into the teachings of the feminine heart. 
Here, we exhale into the deep holding the land has for us. 
Here, we soften into our animal bodies to become one with the wild river, at home amongst the mossy rocks  ~ allowing our hearts to be purified by the undulating rhythms of the land, awakening codes of revelation and freedom, as we dance the winding path laid by the Magdalen’s in Southern France. 

Trusting our feet, our journey continues as we follow the rose path through the Aude valley and Bugarach, where the Magdalen’s are said to have set up their ministry upon fleeing Jerusalem. Dotted between mountain and stream, an abundance of places hidden & known invite us into communion with them as we anchor more deeply into our centre.

In this rugged landscape we unfurl the petals of our hearts, remembering that the answers which we seek exist within the Earth herself, and to those who have ears to hear ~ She speaks. 
Surrendering to the dark light of the the cave, our inner eyes open ~ recognising our part to play in the dance of creation.

The Magdalen legend has woven its way into this place like a river carving through rock, a myth with a soul more true than any historians account.

With our bare hearts and feet, we invite an embodied encounter with these living mysteries - revealing the interconnection between Matter & Spirit, Earth Mother & Sky Mother, as we actively participate in the Mystery as it is being lived through us  - unveiling the Druid Rose, the remembrance that all is holy & whole, held in the sacred Web of Life.

Our Pilgrimage

Our Pilgrimage to the living Venus Temple of the South of France is an alchemical immersion into the Dragon Rose Line and Feminine Mysteries of Gaia.

At each sacred site, you will encounter a lifting of the Veil, through insight, activations and direct revelation, awakening the codes of your unique frequency that wishes to bloom at this time.

Through this remembrance of your Divine Blueprint, you may recall past lifetimes of walking these lands & the Priestess Path - and through this embodiment be able to transmute that which has prevented you from living in your true essence in this lifetime.

Mount Bugarach itself is connected to the Pleiades (The Seven Sisters) star cluster, with the local people sharing stories of a subterranean lake just below the surface. It's known as an 'upside down mountain', with the rocks on top far more ancient than those underneath, and standing apart from any mountain range. This mythical mountain holds many legends of extra terrestrial visitations, and I myself witnessed beautiful dances of light in the night sky, dreaming often of ancient civilisations that lived within and upon this sacred rock.

This land is a living library of Stellar and Grail Wisdom.

The Location

This area is ripe with the legends of the life of Mary Magdalene, who, as the story goes, built a community here in this valley after fleeing persecution in Jerusalem.

The Bugarach mountain has been excavated in search of Mary Magdalen's body and her sacred relics. The area is also extensively written about in Anna, The Voice of the Magdalenes, a channeled work by Claire Heartsong. This mesmerising mountain is  a geological phenomena, and home to hidden caves that are said to be gateways between worlds.

Bugarach is also the historical and spiritual home of the Cathars, so the whole region holds an ancient palpable magic.

So why do we bring you here?

I visited this land many times over a number of years, until it eventually became my home. During that time I developed an intimacy with this place unlike any other I have encountered before. It spoke to me through dreams, and ancient codes activating cellular memories, each day an awakening to the mystery.

This is the land that birthed me into the body of work I now share called the Womb Mysteries. Through deeply immersing myself in the caves, and the mystical teachings of the Rose, I began a lifelong apprenticeship with this ancient flower spirit as I recalled past lifetimes walking the Rose Line and the Path of the Priestess.

All we know is what we feel here; being on this land creates quantumn shifts and deep healing to unfold.

Over our 11 day journey with the Rose and Mysteries of the Magdalen, we will immerse ourselves fully in this landscape allowing it to speak to & through us - body, breath & bone. What you will discover in direct contact with the land here will run far deeper than anything you could read in a book, or someone else's words.

Accommodation

Over the duration of the pilgrimage we will be staying at 2 different venues, each for one half of the pilgrimage. One based in Ariège, and the other in the Aude valley. Each space is mindfully curated and crafted by their guardians, with outside and communal spaces for us to enjoy.

Getting Here

We will be picking people up from either Carcassonne or Toulouse Airport ~ if you choose to fly to either Perpignan or Barcelona, please note you will need to find your own way to Carcassonne or Toulouse for us to pick you up.

By Air you have multiple choices of Airports, closest being Carcassonne and Perpignan. Toulouse and Montpellier  have the most connections to the area.

We recommend guests to arrive either the day before, or early in the morning  to the same airport, so costs can be shared for car hire & travel costs. Car hire can start from €11 a day if booked in advance from Auto Europe in Toulouse. 

We will create a Telegram group for attendees to organise their travel together.

Shuttles can be arranged at an additional cost.

Rome to Rio is a helpful app for planning journeys via public transport, though we highly recommend the car hire option in small groups for ease and adventure!

Investment

Your contribution to the retreat includes the workshops & ceremonies, jacuzzi, sauna, organisation of pilgrimages, accommodation and delicious meals by our on-site chefs.

Please note this is the price for a space in a dorm room, for a private or twin room there is an additional fee.

There will be times when we eat out for lunch or dinner, please note that this is separate from the retreat cost. 

Food is sourced locally & made with high quality nourishing ingredients - drinking water direct from the spring on the land. This area is famous for its mineral rich mountain springs, and organic & biodynamic farming practices.

I am Bryony Rose. 

In essence : I am a pilgrim, observing the sacred in every step, daring to enter unchartered territory.
In practice : I am a weaver ~ of womb, of worlds ~ one who follows the iridescent threads, soothing that which is torn, tending what nourishes our growth, creating & holding space for transformation.
In truth : I am a lover - of the wild, and the untamed places within ourselves.

My work endeavors to encompass women at any & all stages of life. 

I work  with a multidisciplinary approach, with tools encompassing my broad life experience & training : ~ 
more than a decade dedicated to womb work & somatics, 
7 years of study in a pathway of female animism & ritual, 
a life-long love of Earth & her flowers, with more than 5 years learning through expert teachers the art of vibrational medicine & healing,
~ & I continue to study and grow, anchoring it through my own embodiment.

My connection to the lands of South of France, runs through my blood and my lineage ~ my ancestors came from the Pyrenees mountains, and are believed to have practiced in the Cathar faith, later becoming Huguenots, and having to flee continued persecution. 

In this life I have spent some years both living and questing on these lands, rekindling an ancient flame of remembrance in my flesh and soul. For me it is a relationship, that I am called here as the land calls for me.  I endeavour to guide those who feel the longing  to journey here, with the deepest care and integrity, and deep recognition of its untamed wildness and a place of sanctuary.

Who is this immersion for? Is this the right space for you?
 

This is a place for authentic connection, deep listening and community. You will be invited to explore content such as sexuality and emotions, so it is important for our own integrity and welfare of those attending that we share these points for you to be sure that this space is suitable for you.

Our intention is to offer work that is inclusive, however through our own practices of listening, learning and unlearning - we have decided that this space is specifically for female-embodied beings aka those with Yoni's and Womb's (whether or not still physically present) - which includes non-binary and gender fluid folk. 

Our reasons for this is that some of the content is very specific to the female anatomy - we will be speaking of the Womb, the Yoni and other aspects of the female body. We also recognise that we do not have the experience required to hold space safely beyond this within this setting, and want all of those that attend feel held and acknowledged. So the most responsible decision we can make is to recognise our limitations, as this offers a much a safer and authentic space for everyone. We are passionate about continuing to learn and grow in this.

We also want you to note that while this work may have therapeutic benefits, this is not therapy or a replacement for therapy. If you are experiencing significant mental health challenges we strongly encourage you to seek 1-1 support from a qualified psychotherapist. 

Some of the content shared by participants in sharing circles may be triggering or traumatic in nature. This immersion is designed to create a space for us to be open and honest with each other about our experiences, as we explore some new and unchartered territory. Sharing and listening is an important aspect of this, and can support the process of transformation, and simply being.

While we do our best to create an environment that feels safe and inclusive, it is your responsibility to look after your own needs and boundaries. If this is something you struggle with, or you are concerned about any element of this retreat please contact us in advance. We are very willing to chat on the phone and check in about whether this retreat is right for you at this time.
