We've all heard of psilocybin, but what do you know about the other magic mushroom?

The Amanita Muscaria mushroom is probably the most famous and easily recognisable mushroom in the world.

Often associated with magic, pixies, Christmas and the mushroom emoji, these fairy tale fungi have a fascinating and rich history as a medicine and entheogen. From Siberia to India, the Greeks, Celts and Vikings, the Amanita Muscaria mushroom has been used in folk and shamanic traditions for millennia. In 1968, R. Gordon Wasson proposed that the Amanita Muscaria was the Soma talked about in the Rigveda, and it has a long documented use in shamanic and religious ceremonies in Siberia.

This iconic mushroom grows all across the northern hemisphere (including the UK!), yet most of us remain in the dark about its unique and powerful properties.

Join us for an evening of talks, discussion and music as we explore the mystical qualities of the infamous Amanita Muscaria mushroom, correct dosing and what to expect from your journey…

An educator on the Amanita Muscaria mushroom with five years of her own use and experimentation, along with the aggregated anecdotal information from thousands in her community, Amanita Dreamer’s aim is to help others learn safe and effective ways to incorporate this medicine into their lives. Having developed the world's largest online repository of Amanita Muscaria information to date, she casts a wide net to help as many different types of users of the material as possible.

This will be a rare opportunity to meet the author, ask questions, and receive a signed copy of her book.

When and where?

We'll be gathering at LoveShack, a cool, cosy, candlelit patch of vegan paradise tucked under the railway arches of Cambridge Heath Station. Their mushroom focused menu and range of mushroomy drinks are the perfect combo for this event!

Come along, get yourself a Lion's Mane Cacao or an organic Chaga infused bourbon cocktail and get settled in for an evening of mushroom magic!

Amanita Dreamer

Amanita Dreamer is an educator on the Amanita muscaria mushroom. When she began in 2019, there was very little information about this mushroom on the internet, and what was available was inaccurate and harmful. She suffered from debilitating panic attacks and anxiety and working to come off high dose pharmaceuticals meant to treat her issues. The use of this mushroom saved her life so she has chosen to devote the rest of her life to helping others learn about the amazing power of this mushroom.

With five years of her own use and experimentation, she brings her rigorous investigation into the research and science along with the aggregated anecdotal information from thousands in her community. She has developed rules and nomenclature around the use in small and large amounts, spiritual impacts, mind-altering growth, and potential uses. She has also posed many hypotheses on the complex medicine within. Finally, she has coined terms and ideas surrounding its ideology, use, community, and potential. In 2020 she launched the first line of products using this mushroom with sales that continue to climb. To date she has developed the world’s largest online repository of Amanita muscaria information.

She shares her work openly on public platforms, and once harsh censorship began, she continued on her own private platform, AmanitaDreamer.Net. Knowing her audience, her aim is to cast a wide net and create helpful information that connects with as many different types of users of the material as possible, from the curious to those with a dire need, from the recreational user to those who are becoming medicine people in their communities. She works with corporations in the development of products and advises other content creators on accurate reporting. She helps practitioners learn how to help their clients through use and integration. She speaks at conventions, festivals, and societies, sharing her love of this medicine with all who will listen. In failing to keep up with the demands of the public, she created a community of people who also use the mushroom to collaborate and share their knowledge at MushroomVoice.com. She is currently filming a documentary about the mushroom and writing her next book.
