The Relational Playground: an afternoon of Authentic Relating

If you’re anything like me, you didn’t grow up learning how to communicate consciously. Instead, you’ve probably stumbled through life leaving behind sticky, awkward moments and worn plenty of masks to fit in, play the part, or prove your worth.

Authentic Relating (AR) offer a chance to shake that all off. Through a carefully selected collection of relational games, you'll have the opportunity to move beyond small talk and into the realm of authentic connection. We'll be dropping the masks to make space for all parts of you to be seen, heard and welcomed in your wholeness.  

To be authentic is to discover, embrace, and express our truth. To relate is to recognise another’s truth and experience—just as dynamic and rich as our own. At its core, AR is about deepening empathy and understanding, whether with those we love, those we work with, or the person we see in the mirror.

Is this for you?

We will be gathering together as a community to create a brave space, with the intention of supporting each other to find the courage they need to be exactly as they are. Although we intend to hold the space with the spirit of play, curiosity and lightness, the exploration of our inner worlds and that which we keep more guarded in day to day interactions has the potential to feel challenging to some. Because of this, these sessions may not be suitable for those navigating significant or unaddressed emotional or psychological wounds. If you’re unsure about your readiness, please feel free to reach out before booking your place. 
 

Venue and arrival time

We'll be hanging out in the gorgeous Space to Move in Mount Wise. 

Please arrive on time so we can start promptly. Any significantly late arrivals may not be admitted due to the importance of setting group context before heading into the games. 
 

Cancellations

If you need to cancel your seat more than 7 days prior to the start time, a full refund will be issued. 
If you need to cancel your seat within 7 days of the start time:

• we can transfer your ticket to a future session, if applicable.
• if we can issue a refund (minus any applicable fees imposed by the payment processor) if we're able to find someone to fill your seat

If we need to cancel this event for any reason, a full refund will be given. 
 

Facilitator

Claire Dennis | Claire has been immersed in Authentic Relating for the last 5 years, experiencing its transformative ripple across her personal life, professional world, and creative pursuits. This practice has deeply influenced her creative expression - spoken word, event curation, and her exploration of clowning and improv.
