A collaborative sound journey
You are invited to unlock your voice with the power of singing together in harmony. Ian, Katie, and Jasmine will gently guide you through a journey of singing, led by guitar and harp where you can join in as you feel comfortable. We will explore improvising sounds and harmonising on simple mantra-style songs. This is a chance to be part of your own sound journey and activate your voice as part of a group.
Our intention is to cultivate a space of trust and togetherness where we can experience our voices alongside others in a safe and supportive environment. Those who are newer to singing can feel safe to sing the melody while more experienced singers can experiment with harmonies. There are no right or wrongs in the process, only experiencing the sounds together.
When you arrive, we invite you to find a space on floor in a circle - there will be cushions and mats but feel free to bring your own. Chairs will be made available for those who prefer not to sit on the floor.
We will begin by inviting you to join us in experiencing ceremonial cacao, a simple ritual to open space for intention and relaxation
We will start the sound journey with some conscious breathwork, followed by a vocal warmup.
We will then being singing mantra-style songs written for the event, accompanied by harp and guitar. The songs are simple and easy to learn and song sheets will be provided. Each song will last around ten minutes and then lead into the next song without a break so that we can remain present throughout the journey.
No singing experience is necessary, just a willingness to participate.
