You are warmly welcome to join us for a sound medicine journey, accompanied by an herbal tea of native plants selected for their ways of heart support.
Guided by Annabelle Charanbani, in collaboration with the Sacred Death Centre, as part of National Dying Matters week 2025.
This is an invitation to slow down, cleanse and release, soften into the heart and explore the subtle, unseen inner terrains. Inviting tenderness, care, curiosity - meeting whatever is alive in you that wants to be brought into acknowledgement and flow. Particularly, this sound ceremony is to honour the grief we each may be carrying, knowing that our grief is also always an expression of Love and is an intrinsic part of living with an open heart.
“Grief dares us to love once more.”
-Terry Tempest Williams
We will begin with sharing a tea ritual together, communing with a blend of plants known as allies of the heart and which are particularly supportive in times of grief. We will then flow into a long sound medicine journey to deeply relax, release, rejuvenate on a cellular level and experience a vaster state of awareness, journeying with the support of these beautiful plants to aid us in feeling, perceiving, releasing and integrating.
Instruments include a Chiron gong, crystal singing bowls, drums, flutes, voice, chimes, rattles and more.
This is a part funded event, though booking is highly recommended. As this is a part funded event, your feedback afterwards would be greatly appreciated. (The ticketing platform will send you an email.)
Any donations toward the Sacred Death Centre are welcome, either in advance or on the day.
For your comfort, we highly recommend bringing a yoga mat and/or sheepskin to lie down on, a blanket to keep warm, and a cushion for your head if you'd like one.

HERBAL TEA BLEND
The plants we will be communing with are motherwort, rose, hawthorn berry and lime flower.
This is a blend selected for the purposes of heart support, connecting with our emotional feeling-body, for cleansing, protection, softening into the heart and the flow of life, opening more to subtle perception, alleviating anxiety, elevating frequency and for a bringing of light.
If you have any health conditions, please do check in advance for contraindications. Please note that this blend is not recommended for pregnancy.
SOUND MEDICINE
Sound medicine vibrates the material of our being to bring us into a more harmonious flow or patterning. Amongst other things, it supports our bodies in circulation, stress release, detoxification, and cellular regeneration.
Sometimes the sound can guide us into waking dream states whereby we can reconcile subconscious memories, receive clarity and guidance, and journey into the otherwise unseen.
ANNABELLE CHARANBANI
My path is in the healing and creative arts, supporting people to come into greater presence and to engage with life with more passion, ease, curiosity and confidence. For this, we work towards optimising physical health, creative flow, connecting with spirit, and allowing the heart and soul to lead with greater clarity.
I primarily serve with kundalini yoga and meditation, sound medicine, intuitive storytelling, self-enquiry, movement and holistic massage, accompanied by various plants.
This line of work is ultimately about finding balance. Of solar and lunar, personal and impersonal, infinity and finity consciousness, earth-water-wind-fire-ether. It includes detoxing physically and emotionally, reconciling and releasing tired memories, finding greater flow with creative energy and joy, and awakening sensuality. We develop our relationship with the soul voice, and we become more awake to the ways in which wisdom and guidance is being transmitted in each moment.
I'm in deep gratitude to my many teachers and guides - human, plant, animal, mineral, angel and other - with whose perspective and company I've had the fortune to be gifted. In particular, acknowledging the indigenous lineages from Mexico, India and Australia from whom I've received great inspiration, teachings and guidance.
