We invite you into an exploration of body and mind, moving towards effortless being and action in everyday life. The retreats are intimate experiences for max 13 participants and takes place in the beautiful archipelago of Southern Norway.
Circling by the Sea is an invitation into our sense of home.
We bring with us a deep love for the land and the sea into this retreat, for the traditions that shape how we are there, and for the simplicity and ease that always arise when we return to that white house by the sea in Southern Norway. For us, Circling by the Sea is an intimate, personal, and—most of all—real exploration of what it means to be human.

Programme
Circling by the Sea is designed as an exploration of life and togetherness. The retreat begins with a 2½-day immersion, where we dive into the practice and create a shared foundation for living from presence and aliveness.
The rest of the week invites you to carry the practice beyond the workshop room, into the beautiful late-summer archipelago of Southern Norway. This part of the retreat is both a chance to practice self-leadership—exploring what matters most to you (with support)—and a practice of togetherness. We will gather for morning and evening sessions to hold a frame around these open explorations and to give space to whatever arises along the way.
There will also be plenty of time during the day to enjoy what the area has to offer: fishing trips, oyster safaris, island explorations, mushroom picking, visits to the local Bronze Age settlement, swimming, sunbathing, forest walks and bike trips to local villages are among the possible options.
While the main scheduled activities are based on Circling, Surrendered Leadership, and Authentic Relating, we will also weave in practices such as sitting meditation, bodywork, embodiment exercises, and ways of connecting with nature.

Venue and food
Kaasestua is a 300+ m2 house in a rural area located in the archipelago of Southern Norway, half an hour outside of Kristiansand. The house is close to the forest and 50m from the ocean. It comes with a large garden, private bathing bridge, boat and our own developing vegetable garden.
You are invited into the heart of Peter’s childhood, a house surrounded by nature and the sea that have been in his family for three generations. We will share three meals a day of homemade vegetarian/pescatarian food based on vegetables we grow in the garden, fish we catch ourselves and berries and mushrooms picked in the forest.
The retreat is an intimate experience for max 13 participants at Høvåg, Southern Norway.
Facilitators
Ronja Lofstad
I discovered Circling in 2014 and it has been an active part of my life since. I have facilitated circling evenings, weekends, retreats and courses for years and I am a senior leader for Transformational Connection (formerly Circling Europe). I am deeply inspired by nature and silence and spend a lot of time outdoors, listening to forests and mountains.
Peter Munthe-Kaas
I am a Stockholm based researcher, body therapist, coach and workshop facilitator. I am interested in practices that support me and others in relating and listening better and believe that the ability to relate to myself, others, society and nature is key to living a happy life in service of what is good in the world.
