“What is going to happen to us when we die?” “Are we alone in the universe?” These are amongst the most compelling questions we confront in life, and must at death. Responses to which may be gestured at by innovative inquiry into far-out phenomena, such as those contained within the parapsychological, and profound provinces of the psychedelic experience" - Pascal Michael

Topic: Exploring Mystical States and Parapsychology

The topic for this month's PsySocial is ' Exploring Mystical States and Parapsychology', where we welcome psychedelic researcher and parapsychology lecturer Pascal Michael. With a background in neuroscience, Pascal recently completed his PhD comparing DMT and near-death experiences and their neurological underpinnings. In this talk interview, Pascal will sharing his expertise and insights on neuropsychology, psychedelics, paranormal phenomena, and otherworldly beings.

We will be meeting at Love Shack, a vegan restaurant and cocktail bar spread over three beautiful exposed brick arches in the heart of Hackney, East London. They have a brand new menu (January 2023) that offers a variety of delicious food and yummy drinks (including mushroom cacao!) available to purchase throughout the evening.

If you would like to enjoy some of Love Shack's incredible food, please order and eat before or after we kick off at 20:00. You will have time after the event to socialise freely and continue conversations with the people you've met during the evening.
