Autumn Equinox / Mabon Mini Retreat
Step into the balanced energy of the Autumn Equinox, Mabon—the time of equal day and night, a sacred threshold between light and shadow. This is a moment to pause, give thanks, and prepare for the inward journey of the darker half of the year.
✨ What harvest am I gathering from this year’s growth?
✨ What can I release to walk lighter into the darker months ahead?
✨ Where can I find balance between action and rest, giving and receiving?
About the Event
The Autumn Equinox is a sacred threshold, a moment of perfect balance, harvest celebration, and preparation for the reflective months ahead. It has long been honored through both earthly offerings and spiritual practices.
Join us for a 5-hour mini retreat, designed to celebrate, reflect, and create a soul-feast of gratitude, mindfulness, community, and movement. Through the sacred triad of mind, body, and soul, we’ll explore:
Equinox Balance Rituals — Gratitude for what has been gathered and release of what no longer serves, creating spaciousness for the darker half of the year.
Breath work, Journalling & Guided Meditation — Reflection and respite in this time of balance and stillness.
High Vibrational Sound & Vocal Scaping — Let sound and voice guide you into harmony and deep relaxation.
Somatic Movement — Tune into your body’s wisdom, process shadow and light, and return to joyful presence.
Belly Dancing — A playful, empowering practice of spirals and circles to embody earth’s abundance and awaken vitality, guided by Itziar.
Kundalini Energy Transmission — Tap into this transformative life force to ignite inner radiance and prepare for the inward path.
Expect an afternoon of movement, reflection, and celebration, designed to rejuvenate your spirit, honor the harvest, and step into balance before the time of deeper introspection. Aligned with the Virgo eclipse season, this gathering supports clarity, refinement, and release.
Rough Time Table for Our Celebration
1:30 – 2:30 PM | MIND: Intentions, Rituals & Reflection
Immerse yourself in the meaning of the Autumn Equinox. Learn about its history and symbolism, explore journal prompts and guided meditation for balance, and take part in rituals of gratitude and release. Together we’ll create a “feast for the soul”, sharing blessings within the circle. We’ll close with a threshold crossing, carrying forward what sustains us and leaving behind what no longer serves.
2:30 – 3:00 PM | BODY: Voice Activation & Grounding
Activate inner clarity through playful vocal techniques and breathwork. Explore polyvagal sound practices and grounding breath to connect with your presence and balance.
3:00 – 5:00 PM | BODY: Somatic Dance & Belly Dance Awakening
Move through somatic practices that honor both shadow and light, contraction and expansion—mirroring the equinox balance. Flow into belly dance with Itziar, embodying spirals and undulations that honor the harvest, awaken sensual vitality, and connect deeply to your body’s wisdom.
5:00 – 6:00 PM | SOUL: Kundalini Energy Transmission
Receive a guided Kundalini energy transmission to awaken life force within, preparing you for the inward half of the year. This is a time to embody inner wisdom, honor the seasonal shift, and root in your radiance as we move toward winter.
6:00 – 6:20 PM | GROUNDING & Guidance Card Pull
Close the retreat with grounding techniques, integrating the energy of the day. A collective card pull offers insight and guidance for the months ahead, carrying forward the wisdom of balance.

FAQs
1. What is the Autumn Equinox / Mabon? The Autumn Equinox, or Mabon, is the time when day and night are equal, marking the balance between light and dark. Falling around September 22–23, it signals the transition from summer’s outward energy to autumn’s inward reflection.
Rooted in Celtic and agrarian traditions, it celebrates the second harvest, gratitude for abundance, and preparation for the darker months. Practices often include harvest offerings, apple rituals, reflection, and letting go of what no longer serves you. Mabon invites you to honor balance, align with natural cycles, and gather inner wisdom.
2. What is Kundalini Activation? Kundalini Activation involves tapping into your life force energy, often symbolized as a coiled serpent at the base of the spine. Through this yin practice, this energy is awakened and aligned to flow freely through your body and it is your opportunity to surrender. During this session you can express and release in a multitude of different ways and the KA transmission can lead to profound transformation, clarity, and a heightened sense of self-awareness.
This is a gentle energy alignment session which meets you exactly where you need at that point in time. During KA you may experience some movement, emotions, visualisations, feelings of hot and cold to name a few.
3. What is Somatic Movement? Somatic Movement is a form of embodied practice that emphasizes connecting with your body’s innate wisdom. It involves gentle, intentional movements that release stress, break old patterns, and foster a deeper sense of physical and emotional well-being. It’s about tuning in and building awareness of the signals your body sends.
4. What can I expect in terms of benefits following this event? Expect to feel rejuvenated, balanced, and more connected to your mind, body, and soul. The activities—like intention setting, somatic movement, and high-vibrational sound experiences—will help you release stress, ignite your passion, and foster creativity. You might leave with a sense of clarity, purpose, and renewed energy for the season ahead.
5. What if I can't dance? No worries at all! This event is for everyone, regardless of their dancing experience. Belly dancing, for example, is introduced as a playful and empowering practice, with no pressure to be a pro. It’s all about connecting with your body and embracing the joy of movement in a supportive, non-judgmental space.
6. What should I bring or do ahead of the ceremony?
- Journal for reflection
- Warm layers and cover up for the energetic part of the session
- Shawl or blanket to wrap in case cold
- Water and snacks if required
- Eat light and if possible avoid highly processed foods, alcohol and caffeine
- Scarf for your waist to tie around for the belly dancing
