Dartmoor: Ridiculous House: Mabon (Autumn Equinox)

- Ripe apples are hanging in the orchard, swollen blackberries drip from every bramble, we eat crumble most nights.

- Sauna is firing, music room/library is warming up

- Day and Night are in perfect balance

- 9 acres our playground. Big Meadow, Small Meadow (+pizza oven) a little stream passing through, The Dome - our cosy studio, "The Maloka" - a ceremonial space, Fire Circles, Woodland, Pond, Orchard/sauna/plunge.. all this is ready for our circle and the fruit it will bear.

- The Curriculum? Theatre Arts, Embodiment, Ritual, Clown, Maskwork, and Feasting. At the time of equinox, we will be concerned with balancing. In this case we will be callibrating a desire to hone and to present our artistry with skill, working with stage-craft, movement and devising tools, learning through experiencing and through making mistakes. Balancing the desire for a certain 'quality' we strive to retain the sacred raw innocence and characteristic messiness of the clown, offering our vulnerability to the cauldren of the stage, in a place of "not knowing what the fuck is going on". Space for the Divine, and The Ridiculous. Deep down, it seems that what matters is being and creating together, something beyond the normal, something ritual, ephemeral, never-to-be-repeated, something magical.

- Dartmoor stretches out all around us, accessible directly from the house on foot.

- It's the best time to see Saturn and it's moons under the waning cresent moon.
