As we find ourselves in deep winter, we are offering you an evening of intuitive herbalism & somatic embodiment. An exploration into the ancient medicine of the rose. We will gather by the fireside in a beautiful roundhouse in the valleys of Stroud to nurture community and bring rest to our bodies. Informed by the work of The School of Intuitive Herbalism and a reclamation of eco-somatic embodiment.
What to expect:
*Connecting with the spirit of Rose as our supportive ally
*Drinking warmed rose essence
*Voice Cauldron, intuitive singing and sounding accompanied by shruti box
*Guided yoga nidra relaxation
*Paired consent based somatic touch (or optional solo practice)
*Creative poetic enquiry meeting rose
Your Facilitators:
Ivy McNichol (she/they)
Ivy is a qualified massage therapist who has completed both a Sacred Ecology Apprenticeship with Rachel Corby and an Intuitive Herbalism Foundation Year with Nathanial Hughs at The School of Intuitive Herbalism in Stroud. They are a passionate animist, interested in Celtic spirituality who supports others to build and deepen intimacy with themselves, their community and the land.
Mali Earth Flower (she/her)
Mali is a priestess, ceremonialist, song ritualist, embodiment, meditation and yoga nidra teacher leading with an eco-somatic approach. She is passionate about eco-somatics and embodied communion through which she holds a long standing relationship to the rose.
Who is this event for?
This event is for anyone of a marginalised gender identity.
Accessibility:
Unfortunately this space is not wheelchair accessible as there are a few small steps into the outdoor building and compost loo.
Practicalities:
This event is for people ages 18 and over due to the therapeutic nature of it.
The total capacity for the space is 10 participants.
Please also note the medicinal rose essence is an alcohol based herbal tincture.

Due to the therapeutic nature of this work, we will start promptly at 6.30 and close the space to late entries after 6.45.
We ask that you please bring a yoga mat and a blanket. Please wear warm clothes and socks as this is a earth-built roundhouse with no central heating. There will be a cosy wood-burner.
