A day of rest, reflection and rejuvenation, woven through with self-care. A space for participants to integrate their experienes of the summer months, harvesting their achievements and letting go of what no longer serves, as we cross over the threshold into autumn.

In the Celtic tradition, the autumn equinox is a time of balance, celebration and integration: we celebrate the fruits of our labours and take a moment to pause whilst night and day, light and dark, are equal. We take time to evaluate our lives and lessons learned duirng the summer months, before beginning to plan for the darker months ahead.

Example schedule:

~ Arrival and welcome tea, settling into the space

~ Introduction to the themes and images which form the axis of the day's exploration

~ Cacao to awaken the senses and raise our energy

~ Seasonal Yoga - a flowing and dynamic practice inspired by seasonal energies

~ Yoga Nidra (guided meditation)

~ Lunch - bring a packed lunch to meet your requirements and enjoy some of the treats provided!

~ Creative workshop: digesting, integrating, celebrating growth and learning

~ Restorative yoga practice

~ Soundbath

~ Tea and refreshment break

~ Closing circle

No prior experience is necessary and you are welcome to contact me with any questions about the venue or the practices.

Venue: Wytham Village Hall

Wytham Village Hall is to the north of Oxford, just beyond Wolvercote. It's a tranquil setting that will give you a true sense of a retreat, whilst still being very local to Oxford. There is parking available on-site, though please do let us know if you intend to come by car (venue needs to know how many spaces we'll require). l also try to facilitate car shares for those participants who don't own a vehicle so do get in touch if you'll have spcae for someone else.

There are frequent busses from central Oxford to Home Close, which is about a mile walk to the hall.

What to bring:

- Wear clothing you able to move in freely, and a layers are good for ensuring comfort in moments of stillness.

- A yoga mat and a blanket for comfort. You also might like to bring a pillow and/or an eye pillow or scarf to cover the eyes when resting for the sound bath. Get in touch with me if you are't able to bring a yoga mat.

- A packed lunch and bottle of water

A yoga bolster (cushion), blanket and brick will be provided, as well as tea, coffee and light refreshments.
