The Psychedelic Society presents an afternoon of talks, performance and creative storytelling with Peruvian artist Ingrid Pumayalla, in collaboration with Ecosystem Restoration Communities.

Join us to explore a different way of reconnecting with nature and listening to the voice of the Amazon. Using visual installations, storytelling, ritual and performance, Ingrid weaves the unfolding of a planetary narrative. An ecological perspective in favour of the forests, the Amazon, and a network of ecosytem defenses against deforestation. The performance will be followed by an interactive practice to discover your own, inner icaro.

We will close with an introduction to how we can each physically take part in repairing the earth from the ground up with Alejandra Garcia of EcoSystem Restoration Communities, a global movement of everyday people that are reversing ecological destruction across six continents.

This event forms part of the art in eARTh project; a collaboration between Ecosystem Restoration Communities and artists to demonstrate how art can be part of the process of regeneration and reconnection.

When and where?

LoveShack is a cool, cosy, candlelit patch of vegan paradise tucked under the railway arches of Cambridge Heath Station. They are on a mission to take over the world (in a very nice way) by becoming a global space for positive disruption, social action & universal love. As individuals and as a business, they believe the protection of animals and our planet are of paramount importance, and these ethics underlie everything they do. Their menu is shaped by these decisions and so are their actions. They reuse, repurpose and recycle everything they possibly can.

The Psychedelic Society supports and celebrates their mission of creating a new sustainable community, movement & culture to challenge stale & conventional systems, and we love their range of mushroomy meals and drinks!

Come along, get yourself a Lion's Mane Cacao or Cordyceps Coffee and get settled in.

Sunday 2nd July /  1.30-4.30pm / LoveShack, 299 Cambridge Heath Rd, London E2 9HA

Alejandra Garcia (Ecosystem Restoration Communities)

Alejandra Garcia is a communications and digital marketing consultant with a creative background. An advocate for a positive and interconnected relationship with nature. This belief informs her work in both the corporate and charitable worlds. She is an expert in digital strategy and IT, and is skilled in delivering high performing domestic and international campaigns across multiple online and traditional platforms.

Ecosystem Restoration Communities is a  global movement of everyday people that are reversing ecological destruction across six continents.
We are a worldwide network of everyday people and projects taking the lead in restoring the earth. We are working together to change the broken system ourselves. We offer solutions for the world’s largest crises, eases eco anxiety and inspires people through positive impact stories, learning opportunities and hands-on experiences.

In 2017, we started by establishing an Ecosystem Restoration Camp in Spain. The movement has since then grown to more than 60 communities in around 30 countries across six continents involving more than 25000 people. And our movement is growing.

ERCs are developing the proof-of-concept in local landscapes that will inspire and attract all who live there to join the effort to restore ecosystems and introduce regenerative practices.https://www.ecosystemrestorationcommunities.org/
