Herbal Happenings
We invite you to gather around the fire under the solstice full moon for herbal reflections, connections an singing.
Our intention is to connect local plant lovers, soil tenders and herbalists and honour the wheel of the year.
Shared Food
For this event we invite everyone to bring a vegetable for a collective soup, root vegetables are especially welcome! We will put our veggies in the pot to co-create a community soup as the opening activity and break bread with the soup in between sessions.
This will be a chance to network and meet other herbal humans.
Remembering our roots - What can plant roots teach us?
With Emilia Jane from Dart Community Apothecary
Trees and plants have their roots in the soil and reach for the sky. In the darker months many beings retreat down into their roots until the days become longer.
What can roots teach us? What is held in the roots of these plants?
Emilia Jane will introduce some common local roots, their characteristics and how we learn from them through an interactive workshop.
Songs to Connect and Open Mic space
Hosted by Jenna from Heart of the Wild
Reciprocity is an essential act when gathering plants, one of the easiest gifts that is always on hand is our voice. Jenna from Heart of the Wild will guide us in Songs to Connect - learning songs that we can give to the more-than-human whenever we receive from nature.
After the choir there will be an open space for songs, poems, readings from anyone who feels to share.
