Calabash Grief & Legacy
Calabash Grief & Legacy is a space for People of Colour (Melanin Rich, Global Majority, however you name yourself) to explore, voice and transform the grief we carry. We hold online and in-person Grief Tending workshops, ceremonies and rituals where grief in all its forms is welcome. That includes any type of personal loss, and also the grief that comes with racism, prejudice, colonialism, ancestral loss and cultural erasure. Alongside the grief, we celebrate the love, culture and heritage we carry.
Calabash is founded by Aama Sade and Bilal, with support from grief tenders who have walked the Apprenticing to Grief journey.
A special thank you to Sophy Banks and Grief Tending in Community for the kindness and support.
