The Headless Lab
These Labs are rooted in something simple: your own direct experience.
Not theory.
Not belief.
Just what you actually recognise when you look for yourself.
This is the basis of The Headless Way, a method of self-inquiry developed by Douglas Harding.
Each Lab has a theme.
The Lab Includes
- Guided Experiments Direct experiments from the Headless Way.
- Inquiry Into Who and What you are
- Open Reflection Space for insight and difficulty.
- Unstructured Time Meals, walks, conversation, rest. Where integration often quietly happens.
- The Social Experiment What does it mean to actually be in community and resting in who you really are?
Karin and Amaranatho facilitate each Lab, they have been part of the facilitation team of the annual Headless Gatherings in the UK and Netherlands for half a decade. Combined, they have over 35 years of being part of the headless community. You can find interviews about their experience of The Headless Way via the booking link.
Headless Way offers a straightforward approach to exploring your own experience. Through simple experiments , you can investigate something fundamental: what's actually here when you look directly at your experience, rather than thinking about it.
This approach is accessible, and the results are often surprising. Some find it clarifies questions they've been asking for years. Others simply discover that seeing clearly is available right now.
C.S. Lewis described Douglas Harding's writing as "a work of the highest genius." More recently, Sam Harris has pointed to it as a direct way of seeing that "makes perfect sense to me."
If you're curious about what your own direct experience reveals, these experiments offer a way to recognise it for yourself.
We welcome you to the community as friends and seers.
