Plot 9, once a derelict council allotment, has recently been transformed by Andy Millns into an unusual community garden and gathering space. We plan to host everything from workshops, cacao ceremonies, gatherings and therapeutic gardening to meditation, breathwork, writing retreats and yoga classes.
Andy almost single-handedly built most of what you will see at this snug site tucked beside the railway near Maze Hill station in SE London. His vision is to make Plot 9 a space for Londoners to gather, talk, learn, grow, create and share.
The main circular gathering space - the Dodeca-Den is a 12-sided structure, built from felled allotment sycamores. The space has been built with many salvaged and donated materials from the skips, Thames foreshore and fly-tippers of SE London!
The space is available to hire (by donation) for events that align with our mission to build community, provide alternative and nature-based therapy and creative opportunities.
