ECSTATIC DANCE & SOUND JOURNEY

W/ GARETH LAHEEN & ASTRID JANSEN

Saturday 11th October

18:00 - 22:00

Greyfriars Charteris Hall, Edinburgh

Ecstatic Dance

Ecstatic Dance is a global movement and community ritual — a safe, sacred space to connect with yourself, others, and the world through free expression and movement.

No booze, no shoes, no chit-chat — just intentional dance powered by incredible music. Together, we reclaim rave culture as ceremony, honoring authenticity, respect, and connection. Whether you seek healing, inspiration, or simply freedom on the dance floor, Ecstatic Dance invites you to ground, open, and awaken to your aliveness.

Gareth Laheen

Ecstatic Breath & DJ

Gareth Laheen is a breathwork facilitator and ecstatic dance DJ from the wild west of Ireland. His journey with mindful breathing began four years ago and has since transformed every layer of his life — from physical health to emotional healing, from mental resilience to spiritual awakening.

Originally a club DJ and event organiser in Galway, Gareth made a powerful pivot after choosing sobriety, discovering a deeper form of dance — one rooted in presence, expression, and liberation. That discovery led to the birth of Ecstatic Breath — a unique fusion of breath, movement, and sound designed to guide others into expanded states of connection and aliveness.

Breathwork is a sacred somatic pathway — using the breath as medicine to soften the armour, awaken the senses, and open the doorway to emotional release, clarity, and embodied presence.

Gareth’s sets blend Celtic, ambient, tribal and deep house influences, creating immersive spaces where breath meets beat, and the body becomes the bridge. This is an invitation to drop in, shake free, and breathe & dance deeper into yourself.
