Sound Healing with Horses Experience

A gentle, intimate day of sound, healing, field medicine and horse connection in the Sussex countryside.

Our first Sound Healing with Horses day sold out with 40 people. This time we're keeping it to just 10. A slower, more intimate day, with individual time with the horses, so booking early is recommended.

Feeling tired, overstretched  or simply in need of a space to reset?

Picture a November morning in the Sussex countryside. Opening ceremony with optional cacao under the tree. Horses grazing in the field around you. And a long, unhurried stretch of time in which there is nothing you need to do, fix or achieve.

Over four hours, we bring together sound healing, Reiki and one-to-one time with the horses, held by three practitioners who each have over 25 years' experience, including in equine therapy.

The sound healing: Seated with the horses in the field with your eyes closed, you are guided into connection with the horses and the earth through visualisation, then carried by the sound of bowls, drum, guitar and voice. While the sound moves through the field, each person takes a turn on the treatment bed with a dedicated Reiki practitioner, offering a gentle, yet deeply powerful experience.

After lunch, the afternoon is given to the field and the horses: Simple practices to deepen your mindful connection with the earth alongside an individual horse connection experience. 
Horses have a way of bringing us back to the present moment and offering insight simply by being themselves. 

There is no need for any previous experience. Come just as you are.

THE DAY

11:00am – Arrival, tea and coffee
11:15am – Opening circle under the tree, with optional cacao
11:45am – Sound healing in the field, alongside the horses, with 1-to-1 Reiki   
1:00pm – Lunch (please bring your own)
1:30pm – Field medicine and individual connection with the horses
2:45pm – Closing circle
3:00pm – Finish

MEET YOUR GUIDES

Natalie Matos – International Singer Songwriter & Sound Healing Artist

Natalie has spent over 20 years working at the leading edge of sound, healing and presence, combining healing and music into a single centre as early as 2004. A Reiki Master and coach, she founded Harmonic in Goa, India, which she ran for over ten years. Her own voice work deepened through singing in shamanic ceremony with Brazilian spiritual leader Ninawa Pai da Mata. This experience shaped the development of Conscious Voice, her own unique sound healing journey, combining bowls, guitar, voice, drum and guided visualisation. Horses were Natalie's childhood love, and she has long known the quiet healing power they hold. She feels honoured to combine that healing presence with her own sound healing and voice.
 

Anna Barrick - Therapist 

Has over 30 years experience of hands on bodywork and energy healing. She trained in many disciplines including Reiki, Sekhem and Seichim healing, Craniosacral Therapy, massage and Kinesiology. Having had a private practice in Hove and then in Henfield. Anna is now generally retired from providing one to one therapy, however she finds great pleasure in offering healing at group events alongside Natalie with the sound healing as a profoundly powerful experience. 
Anna also peruses other passions including running the community vegetable garden at field of dreams and figurative sculpture.

Gabrielle – Equine Assisted Therapy

Gabrielle is the founder of Field of Dreams, an 18-acre community conservation care farm in the Sussex countryside, and Shine for Life, a not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC) established in 2006.

For over 20 years she has worked with horses, children and adults through equine-assisted therapy, learning and what she describes as soul-healing work. Her approach is rooted in the belief that horses have a unique ability to meet us exactly where we are, without judgement or expectation, and that time spent alongside them can create space for connection, reflection and change.

Gabrielle has trained in equine-assisted therapy and learning and has developed her own gentle, experiential approach through many years of working with people and horses. Field of Dreams is the place where all of this has come together: horses, nature, people and a little more space to simply be.

GOOD TO KNOW

Suitable for ages 16+. Chairs are provided. Please dress warmly for the weather and wear sturdy shoes suitable for a field. Please bring your own packed lunch.
