The Healing Potential of Non-Ordinary States of Consciousness with Veronika Gold

Ketamine is analgesic - sensory and perceptual capacities are turned off at the cortical level, numbing the body and leaving consciousness free of various filters. The patient is able to then identify with consciousness, priming the journeyer for a variety of transpersonal experiences and waking dream states.

MDMA-assisted psychotherapy is being studied with people who have suffered from life-long sequelae of trauma and they are able to access long-term memory storage in an “optimal arousal zone” where they are able to process their traumatic memories in new ways without interference from the fear response centre of the brain. In the absence of fight/flight/freeze response, the inner healing intelligence is activated and supported in going where it needs to go in order to heal the individual.

Veronika Gold

Veronika Gold, a psychologist from the Czech Republic and a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California, has an expertise in the treatment of anxiety, depression, and PTSD. She is a co-founder and COO of Polaris Insight Center in San Francisco, a clinic providing Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy treatment for depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other mental health issues.

She is also a sub-investigator and a co-therapist at San Francisco Insight and Integration Center, site participating in Phase 3 MDMA-Assisted Psychotherapy clinical trial for the treatment of PTSD sponsored by MAPS, and supervisor-in-training for Phase 2 European MDMA MAPS sponsored Clinical Trials. 

Veronika is also an EMDR therapist, consultant, and a volunteer facilitator for EMDR Humanitarian Assistance Program. She is a certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and a Realization Process Teacher. Veronika provides Psychedelic Integration Therapy and serves as a consultant, trainer, and presenter on Psychedelic Assisted Therapies.
