Death Cafe

Conversations about death & dying

Most of us think about death, but very few of us talk about it.

We talk about almost everything in life, but not the one thing guaranteed to happen to all of us.

So when thoughts about death come up they stay quiet, feel uncomfortable or get pushed away. This is a space where they don’t have to be.

This is a relaxed, agenda-free space to have open conversations about our mortality, and what that may mean. No teaching, no pressure, no expectation.

You’re welcome to speak and share, or simply sit and listen.

We’ll gather over tea and cake and allow the conversation to unfold naturally. I’ll be there to gently support or guide the space if needed.

To speak about death is, in many ways, to speak about life.

What is a Death Cafe?

A Death Cafe is an informal gathering where people come together to talk about death and mortality in a supportive, open environment.

There is no set structure or agenda, it is not a workshop or a teaching space.

Just honest conversation and curious minds, helping to normalise conversations around death.

You can read more about Death Cafes HERE

Important to know

I’ll be there to welcome you and ensure the space feels comfortable and respectful for everyone.

This is not:

  • grief counselling or therapy
  • a support group
  • end-of-life planning

This is simply a space for open conversation.
