Dreaming the Dragons Awake

You are personally invited to our "Dreaming the Dragon Union’" Beltane retreat to explore Dreaming, Connection, and Creativity. Discover how a union between your dreaming and waking selves can guide you to live your most creative life. This is the perfect opportunity for you to romance your inner dreamer, sparking visions and intuition.

We invite you to imagine what it might mean to "marry your Dragon"—to get closer to the shadowy parts of yourself. We will explore practices designed to dissolve inner conflict, cultivating instead a playful dance between dualities: inner and outer, human and more-than-human, and active and receptive energies, all to support fluidity, integration, and self-knowledge.

During the retreat, we will delight in ritual feasts, swim in the lake, steam in the Wild Quarry Spa, and journey through the enchanting Mossy Trail. Our playground is the Owl Queen’s Mossy Realm—Retallack Woodlands in Cornwall—a truly magical place where nature, myth, and art converge. Through inspiring and embodied encounters, we will learn the life-changing arts of Dream Incubation and Lucid Dreaming through experimentation, play, and sleep!

What to expect:

Mossy Crow is all about creation, imagination, and play, inviting people back into the freedom of a child exploring nature. We offer a supportive and inspiring space for you to experiment and fully express yourself. We will guide you through the foundations of lucid dreaming and dream incubation with day and night time practices, cultivating a nourishing relationship with your inner world. We will also work with nature connection, visual arts, movement, performance, and games in groups, with ample time for solitary reflection and deep rest. The entire experience will unfold within the graceful embrace of granite, water, meadow, and forest.

Meet your Facilitators:

Trix Robertson, Co-director of Mossy Crow

Trix is a multi-media artist, storyteller, performer and conservationist with a passion for connecting people with nature through creative play. She draws inspiration from the Cornish landscape and folklore. At Retallack, her beloved home of 30 years, she has planted thousands of trees and nurtured the local flora and fauna creating a beautiful land of healing and magic. With Nature as their guide, Trix and her family have acted as custodians who nurture the landscape to allow its innate beauty to unfurl. Through art, theatre and ritual, Trix enjoys finding ways to connect with the spirit of the land through a myriad of art forms.

Miranda Jones, Co-director of Mossy Crow

Miranda is an artist and integrative arts psychotherapist. She is Trix’s partner in crime on all things Mossy. As well as her therapy practice, she specialises in arts for wellbeing and mental health, teaching and facilitating with diverse groups, sometimes using the outcomes to inform large scale interactive installations and public art commissions, with partners such as National Trust, the NHS and European and UK festivals. She has trained as a Lucid Dreaming Facillator with Charlie Morley. Dreams are an important part of her own practice, as well as her work with others. She teaches drawing as a meditation and the use of the Arts for Integrating non-ordinary experiences.  Her own art centres around finding ways to express mystery, less conscious layers of experience, and subtle shifting nature. One of her favourite things is supporting people as they find and run with their creative spark.

Accommodation and Food

Delicious locally sourced food will be provided and we will have a celebratory feast to finish the retreat. 

Since Dreamwork is the focus of our retreat we will be sleeping and dreaming together in ceremonial space in the beautiful oak barn. Comfortable mattresses will be provided - just bring your own sleeping bag/duvet. If you would rather sleep separately you can bring your own camper van or tent and stay in our beautiful and fully equipped camping field. There is also limited house and cabin accommodation at an extra cost.
