After two years of Covid-induced hiatus, our friends at Alalaho are opening applications for retreats again.
In this webinar, Alalaho founders Jennifer and Stefana will explore what it means to run psychedelic retreats after two years of pandemic-intensified isolation and separation and how to understand this civilisational moment generally as well as in the context of this work.
They will share about the ethos behind their organisation and elaborate on the new developments in their retreat offering. As Alalaho they have always placed a strong emphasis on a holistic approach to psychedelic use, in which psychedelics are a very powerful tool in a wider toolbox, and part of a long-term journey of growth and healing. As such, every single one of their retreats is now followed by a 9-months-long integration journey, during which participants are supported through group video calls and suggested exercises to help them weave the insights gained at the retreat back into their everyday lives. And there are themed retreats on the horizon too, which will allow participants to deepen into the various aspects of the human experience: the relationship with themselves, with others, with nature, and with the mystery of existence.
Join us on Tuesday 3rd May at 7pm to find out more!
Jennifer and Stefana are the founders of Alalaho and were previously co-directors of the Psychedelic Society’s Experience Retreats programme.
FACILITATORS
Stefana Bosse
Stefana has worked with psychedelics for more than a decade, founding and directing the Psychedelic Society's pioneering Experience Retreats programme in 2016, the first European psilocybin-retreat programme of its kind, which eventually led her to founding Alalaho. She has trained in various psychotherapeutic modalities with The School for Essential Counselling, participated in the MDMA-Assisted Therapy Training with the Multidisciplinary Association of Psychedelic Studies – MAPS (US), explored sensuality and sexuality work with different tantra and embodiment teachers, studied in shamanic lineages of the Americas, predominantly in the Lakota and Shipibo tradition, and participated in a modern Mystery School training in New Zealand. However, her most important initiation and education came from the illness and death of her mother. She is also continuously learning through nature, dancing, singing, martial arts, her friends and family, and ultimately through love itself. It is her greatest passion and honour to support others on the multifaceted journey of what it means to be a human being and contribute to the creation of a culture where we ignite our love of the truth, open up to our inherent wisdom, become empowered to take responsibility for our lives, and feel free to express our unique gifts.
Jennifer Tessler
Jennifer began her in-depth inquiry into the nature of reality and the inner workings of the mind (heart) after a life-changing backpacking journey to Asia in her late teens where she discovered both Tibetan Buddhism and the sacred use of psychedelic medicines. Over the last 13 years, she has spent over 800 days in meditation retreat under the close guidance and tutelage of her Tibetan Buddhist teacher. She also holds a degree in Social Anthropology from Sussex University, and has trained as an integrative transpersonal psychotherapist at the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education, London. In 2018, she began facilitating psilocybin-assisted retreats and co-directing the Psychedelic Society's Experience Retreats programme, eventually leading to the founding of Alalaho. For her, this precious work is all about supporting the unfolding of the infinite vitality, wisdom and potential that lies at the core of our being… just like the blossoming of a lotus.
