Sunday 9 February
15:30 - 18:30
Roystonhill Community Hub, Glasgow
Ecstatic Dance
Ecstatic Dance is a sacred space for connection - to yourself, others and the world around you. Ecstatic Dance is a community gathering for people who want to express themselves freely, to connect and to expand together. Enjoy a safe and inspiring space to dance without talking, alcohol and drugs.
This is about self expression, freeing your mind and body, and connecting with yourself and those around you. No booze, no shoes and no chit-chat on the dance floor helps us keep it intentional. Amazing music helps us keep it all about dance.
Ecstatic Dance is a world wide movement that reclaims rave culture and reunites dance with ceremony and community ritual. We co-create a powerful space where everyone is welcome, respected and honoured as their authentic selves. Whether you’re seeking healing, inspiration, or simply a deeper connection with yourself and others, this practice offers a powerful space to ground, open, and awaken to the aliveness within.
Freeform Movement
Freeform movement means you can move however you please ~ there’s no right or wrong way. The dance floor is a space for you to explore movement and be carried and moved by the music. It’s an opportunity to listen deeper to your body, flow with your emotions, connect with others without the need for words and get elevated from the movement and euphoric release. No matter what your dance experience is or how you are feeling ~ you are welcome just as you are.
