Imbolc Ritual Totnes

Hello,

thank you for taking a moment to check out this Imbolc event :)

The Holytide Temple has been born out of a devotional relationship with The Goddess and these Wheel of The Year Rituals are designed to celebrate, align you with and harness the energy and wisdom of the Earth and her seasonal cycle.

For this Imbolc Ritual we will be connecting to the Goddess Brigid as this is her sacred festival and the energies we will be working with are Cleansing, Inspiration and Intention, as the Earth starts to transition from deep winter to the first stirrings of spring.

After sharing some teachings about Imbolc and the Wheel of the Year, the ritual will start by opening sacred space by calling in the directions, elements and our spirit allies. We will then be lead in song by Madeleine Honor to bring us all together. The rest of the ritual will involve an embodiment practice to invoke the energy of Imbolc, then move into visualisation and creative processes.

By partaking in interactive ritual you are actively engaging with and working the magic of this Holy Tide Festival and the energy we are currently immersed in.

You will come away having experienced the energy of this festival in an embodied way, feel connected to your true desires and intentions for the year ahead and have ritually created an item to anchor that intention into the material plane.

I believe that it is so important for our community to anchor into the seasonal turning through the Wheel of The Year framework to help us connect more deeply with The Earth and our own cyclical nature, as well as to connect spiritually and to reclaim our traditional Earth based ancestral practices of these lands.

I feel that despite what we have been conditioned to believe, there really is no distinction between matter and spirit, the mystic and mundane.

What can the first green shoots teach us about listening to the desires of our souls and the whispers of Awen inspiration at this time of the year..?

It is my heartfelt intention to create a welcoming and sacred space that is both body and emotion and just generally whole-human-positive, so that we can immerse ourselves into the healing, growth, magic and wisdom that can blossom through group ritual.

The date of true astrological Imbolc this year is the 4th of February and the event will be a couple of days later.
